Used to work This app used to be perfect, but now it's spotty. Often backs up only half the conversation (one person's texts); other times conversation appears out of order and with some texts missing. I'm mot comfortable deleting from my phone -- dialogues not fully backed up. Used to be excellent--what happened? Also if you happen to change your gmail password app won't tell you to reset; it simply won't back up. Up to user to remain on top of it.

Great! I've been using this for a couple of years now. The backup is nicely formatted to Gmail - each text is a new email in a "conversation" with that person. Exactly what I wanted - other apps don't have the same syncing format.

Malware caution. I have nothing more to request of this app, it is perfect. It backs up my messages to the designated account without having to remember to prompt it to back up. I love this app until I found malware. Uninstall.

Not trustworthy enough Fails to identify some standard SMSes and doesn't back them up. No errors are reported, which doesn't help, since you're fooled into believing your texts were all backed up.

Great, but... Great app, but needs a widget for status (at least for Gingerbread, if there IS one, but it's only compatible with recent versions of Android). I haven't found any bugs with the app that would make the app unusable, just that possibly version-based flaw with the install package. I am aware of the fairly unreasonable concept of supporting such an old version of the OS, though.

Great at backup, but bad at notifying This app works invisibly in the background and did a great job of syncing my texts to gmail. When I changed my google password, I got notifications from relevant apps that had trouble signing in with the password on file, but nothing from this app. It works so quietly, I forgot I had it, so when it couldn't log in, it just went weeks without backing up and didn't supply any sort of alert. Its unobtrusiveness is a virtue, but please have it speak up if there is a problem.

Nice but needs some tweaks Since backing up is by batch of 200, how can I know if all my SMS are already uploaded? Also can you make the messages be sorted by the person who sent the message? And make that person's name appear as I already imported my Contacts in Gmail.

Perfect Worked perfectly on my old G-1. Has been working perfectly for over a year on my Desire-Z. Just stays in the background and gets on with it. Have never had any errors or complains from it. I sometimes forget it's there but my SMS messages are always there in gmail labelled 'SMS'. I filter them out of the inbox - it's just for backup after all.
