SiMi Folder Pro is a customizable Folder Widget with a horizontal/vertical scrollable Launcher.
(based on the Launcher from SiMi Clock)
Permissions used:
- android.permission.READ_CONTACTS
Without this permission it is not possible to add Contacts to a Folder!
- com.android.browser.permission.READ_HISTORY_BOOKMARKS
Without this permission it is not possible to add Bookmarks to a Folder
- android.permission.CALL_PHONE
You can now use Shortcuts in SiMi Folder. Direct Call Shortcuts are not possible without this permission !
If You have SiMi Folder Free installed just Backup your Folders and Restore them with SiMi Folder Pro.

How to
Step 1: Add a new Folder
Step 2: Select the new Folder
Step 3: Link Apps to the Folder ( Button Applications )
Step 4: Add a SiMi Folder Widget to your Homescreen
Step 5: Select the Folder you want to use.

[2013-06-28] A Google User: Nice, but needs drag drop and lots of other basics Would be good if you could drag drop apps to folders, and also to have folder organizer style notificaiton asking which folder you would like your new apps installed to and also a way to see which apps have not been put into SIMI folders, and a way to very quickly assign each app to any folder/s - so you can get your apps all organised in folders effectively. At the moment there is no reason for this, other than that SIMI folders app is WAY less developed than Folder Organizer... so comeon SIMI!!! |

[2013-06-10] A Google User: Really Good App, BUT.... This app is perfect for cleaning up and even removing visible traces of icons from the home screen. However it is an absolute beast to configure compared to stock folders. I use a galaxy s4 so I want to actually see the HQ background images. I've removed all but a few simi folders from the screen and hidden the rest (maybe the best feature of the app). The icons are still functionally there (if you know where to press) but not visible. Coupled with the Nova launcher, I can even place a folder *over* another widget to simulate the effects of clicking on the original widget (ie get a folder of clock-related apps when pressing a clock widget) However, the largest drawback (and worthy of a 1 star penalty) is setting up the user interface. It takes forever for my customized solution because every folder is it's own 1x1 widget and every folder must be painstakingly built from a cumbersome input format, including nested folders. Probably unable to simplify given how it is built though. And I've just read that updates remove settings. Not good when it takes an hour minimum to rebuild the configuration with using custom icons. After you get good at it that is. Drag and drop needed! |

[2013-03-28] A Google User: This is tip-top quality! Its too good not to support the dev. This is a very streamlined app. So many options. It really lets you take control of your device and create stellar themes. It is so close to 5 stars. I imagine I will change it soon when the ability to adjust size and position of the folder launcher window. Bravo my friend... bravo. |

[2013-01-17] A Google User: Five Stars if it ran on all my devices Great app! Won't run on my 7.7 galaxy tab 2. Also wont run on my 10.1 Galaxy Tab. Will only run on my samsung nexis and original galaxy tablet. PLEASE make compatible with my other devices! |
