Works as advertised I was looking for a very simple app to remotely hibernate (or shut down) my PC, whilst in a different part of the house. This app works as advertised. You simply install the 80KB jar file onto your PC and install the Android app. The app can then pick up your PC to remotely shut it down. It will also do WOL successfully if your PC is setup for it. I had no problems doing either WOL or shut down with this app. [Note: You probably want to stick the jar file into the Startup folder of your PC otherwise you will have to remember to load the file each time you want to use it]. Many thanks to the dev - you saved me a big headache!

The ultimate couch potato tool! The ability to WOL & shutdown with the same app, what a great combination. It works flawlessly with good GUI interface. I put the java shutdown script in my startup menu so it was always loaded and I didn't have to remember to do that before leaving my desktop. It has a hibernate function now which I see must be new based on past reviews.

Failed to load class I've downloaded the java file from the external site but it simply says "Error: Could not find or load main class j:downloadsshutdown_2.0.0.jar" each time it's ran. If the desktop file can't run then the app becomes useless. Given that it's infested with ads it's probably wise to just uninstall it. I'll look elsewhere.

Hopeless This app tells me that I have something blocking adverts that this app needs to show me because its took him lots of his precious time to make it. Complete rubbish I have no such software on my phone. Happen if he took the opportunity to make an app that actually worked and didn't lock my phone then I could probably use it to click on his adverts.

Bettet options available elsewhere Although I don't want to be harsh on the developer who is giving it for free, not providing an option to put pc to sleep makes it uselss for me. The UI as well is much better and simpler in competitors app.

Add sleep function Please add a sleep option. Many people sleep instead of hibernate / shutdown. Great app otherwise!

Good but.. If you stop the count down timmer on a windows 7 pc with mouse i am no longer able to find pc unless i log off or restart. Also windows 7 firewall causes some deamas. If file sharing is turned on though it allows it to work with firewall on (most times). Remote start is good got to enabled wake on lan in bios. Cheers for the app and liik foward to updates :)
