Share links with your desktop!
Works on any link or web page, pick "Send to Browser" from the list of sharing options on any URL.
Requires Mac OS X or Linux on your PC, with SSH enabled. xdg-open must also be available on Linux machines.
V1.1: Fixed major bug which prevent application working in all circumstances.

[2011-10-10] Rev: Awesome! Two feature requests... This is exactly what I was looking for. Two things I'd like changed: 1. The option of using something other than xdg-open. I've a working kludge. 2. Would prefer that the Share process was backgrounded ala Read It Later- with a makeToast notification when it's done. No sense having a new window. SSH key auth would be nice, but not a huge deal for me. Any chance of open sourcing this? I could fix #1 and #2 very quickly if so. Thanks for creating this- almost exactly what I was looking for. |
