Indispensable for Android hackers Wanted to restore my old stock rom, but my CWM and Titanium backups on my SD card would not show on the PC (the stock Rom wanted to format the card). This app saved my neck: I could make a proper full copy of my SD to the PC, before flashing and being forced to format it.

Deleted images in SD Card My Phone wasn't refreshing newly added music and photos and so I installed this app to rescan. It did work and my phone picked up new files but more than half of my old images were gone in my SD card !! Lost almost all of my last 6 months pics !!! Regret having installed this app !! Worked perfectly I could not see music which I added straight from a USB drive to my phone using an OTG cable but then I ran this and now my music app can see it. This worked even after two restarts did not.

Makes MTP Tolerable Before this app, I had to reboot my phone when I wanted to refresh the files that were shown on my computer when I hooked up my phone via USB (that's because the Nexus 4 uses MTP which may not show an up-to-date view of your files). Now it takes seconds.

Found everything, great app! Confused me at first; was looking for items I knew were downloaded to the phone (Manga), but couldn't be found when looking at the phones files on a computer. Did a scan assuming missing items would show up here on the phone and the app only reset on the phone. My fault, forgot I was looking to see them on my computer. Plugged the phone back into the computer and everything not appearing before was there; this dug all of them out of hiding. Outstanding app, deserves five stars.

Windows MTP storage refreshed without reboot Nice, does exactly what it says. Note that if you run the app while connected to windows you will need to disconnect and recconet USB to see the latest contents (Galaxy S3, Rooted+JellyBAM 6.6, Windows 7 x64).

Preparing..., but it does work! Running CM10 4.1.2 on Samsung S2x and the program appears to get stuck on "Preparing...". However if you wait a few minutes, eventually the app will finish and the gallery thumbnails, mp3s, etc will be indexed. Edit: after rebooting the phone, the "Scanning SD card..." screen shows properly!

SOLVED MY XPERIA S ISSUES!! THANK YOU! This program solved the issue of my Xperia S not syncing newly added files and thus they were not visible in MTP mode in Windows Explorer. Now everything's visible!

Be patient if on 4.2.1 The gallery in both Jelly Beans is crap. It doesn't update until you restart the phone. This didn't help at first but now its working after a day of use. Clear your recent apps before you run this and it will work.

Perfect Worked perfectly, was finally able to remove some hidden left over files that were generated by apps that were previously removed. Nexus 7 directory looks clean again.

Didn't help, but it might be ROM Manager's fault GNex JB 4.1.2, copied a zip via. MTP, not showing up in ROM Manager even after reboot. Ran SDrescan, still doesn't show up in ROM Manager.. but I'm thinking this is ROM Manager's fault.

Excellent! Works great on Samsung Galaxy S3 / Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)! If you have media folders (images, videos, sounds) you don't want to be indexed, create a file called ".nomedia" ("dot no media" in one word) using a file manager (or USB connection) and then do a scan.

Nice, but wish I could choose folders When I plug my gnex into my PC, it doesn't show new files sometimes. This app fixes that problem. I would like to narrow down the folders it scans just to speed things up, so hopefully the dev adds some options like this.
