The application is for advanced Linux/Unix users who want to copy data to/from a remote server using rsync (don't install it if you know nothing about rsync and SSH). It supports Remote Notifier notifications and provides Locale/Tasker plug-in, which helps in automating backups.

This application is BETA! In case of problems, please contact me via email instead of giving it low rating. I'll do my best to support your device too. Feature request are also welcomed.

Amazing..... Waited for ages for dropbox to add sync feature...then i thought "what if there was a way I could just rsync?". Now I can rsync specific folders from my computer, and with tasker I can have my wifi turn on automatically every night when plugged in and autosync. I was hesitant to even try this at first due to the issues when rsync'ing to vfat drives, but this works wonders even on huge folders with thousands of pictures. If you know what rsync is and know what ssh keys are, this is seriously worth your time

Everything you could ask for This is just everything I'd want in an rsync app. Completely customizable, including adding command line options, shows up in Tasker beautifully, and works really well. Great ssh support, so it's secure.

Works great App works great as advertised. Using this to sync media files to my rooted Nook Color. You need to know how to use rsync & ssh with private/public keys. Learn how to this between two computers before you try to make this work on your Android device. Don't generate keys from your PC for the Android device, but use the Dropbear tool that this app has to generate the keys and then copy the public key from the Android to PC. Be sure to have mode 700 on ~/.ssh and 600 on ~/.ssh/id_rsa on the PC.

Nice app with a flaw in reverse sync. Nice app. Really like it. I've found one flaw re:sync in reverse direction. Hope it can be addressed by the author. After spending some time investigating, I have found a way to reproduce it. If there are more than 75 files on the server, it gets stuck and makes no progress for a long time until this error message appears and the process exits itself. "error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(600)"

Useful, but status is unclear Firstly: thanks! This is really useful. Now for the complaining :) I find it really non-obvious how to see when rsync is running and how to return to the log of a running rsync (the only way I could find was pressing Back from the list of profiles). My humble suggestion: * Show an ongoing notification while any rsync is running * Only allow each profile to launch rsync once * Show an icon on each profile if that profile is syncing * When the user selects a syncing profile, go to the log

Great to have rsync on Android Works as expected, but I had to use a magnifying glass to configure it. It would be nice to have a way to configure what to do when rsync'ing succeeds or fails. I'd like to get rid of the ads and I'd love to pay for it.

Have to add '--ignore-errors' to additional options when rsync'ing the whole sdcard. The android_secure folder causes problems.

Nice app. Would rather pay for an ad-free version. Very nice app so far. Was up and syncing successfully within 5 minutes--beats reading rsync's manpage hoping to get all the flags set correctly. I really appreciate Tasker support. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the ads. There is nothing wrong with adware, but I would much prefer to pay a few dollars for an ad-free version.
