RingGuard в Android Market

Prevents unwanted ringer volume change, while allowing use of volume control rocker.

When volume is changed, confirm dialog pops up. You can confirm onscreen, or via hard key. If not confirmed within configured time, RingGuard restores volume setting.

Uses camera permission just to check if camera is in use, so it doesn't interfere with camera operation.

Lets you use volume rocker to silence phone under Android 2.2.

Please open RingGuard after updating. Exclude from task killer.

HTC Thunderbolt I wanted something to prevent my ringer from getting inadvertently set off of vibrate. Initially I tried Volume Locker but it did not work on my Thunderbolt. This Ring Guard app does seem to work and without the issues reported below. What I don't like though is that it gives a quick vibrate whenever it does prevent the volume rocker change from taking affect. So the app I settled on is LockRingerVolume. Not a lot of bells and whistles. And peculiarly it forces vibrate even when the volume shows off.

Does the job, but if you have the option to reduce the volume when you pick up the phone to answer it you get promoted, which you have to respond to.
