PreHome (v. 1.0.2) Разработано Salt |
PreHome is a simple and lightweight task switcher.
You can use actual Home by pushing [Home] button on PreHome.
Tasks that already killed are drawn with translucent.
PreHome shows the task list which Android OS has.

[2013-06-29] A Google User: Good app... I've been using this app for almost a year & like it. But on Droid 2 it interferes with screen rotation... stays vertical unless I open the slide. |
[2013-04-24] A Google User: Opera browser missing won't show Opera browser though it's swapped behind |
[2013-04-04] A Google User: Apathetic Developer Developer does not respond to suggestions or requests for assistance. Apathy at its best. |
[2013-03-22] A Google User: Genius! Should totally be part of OS. |
[2013-03-18] A Google User: Awesome! Exactly what I wanted: A quick way to switch and kill apps. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: OMG app look at the apk size OMG No words! Feature request : 1. fully transparent theme 2. When you are reading a pdf with ezpdf reader and and you want to switch to ezpdf reader again then it won't show show you opened page(which you were reading) rather the documents list while the stock switcher(long press home) does it the right way 3. Ignore list, favourites, some basic settings (one click) etc. Please fix/add but not at the cost of big Apk size (we use this little app bcuz of our phone's hardware limitation - less ram, slow processor) you can also remove animations or other clutter to make/keep app small and fast Loooking for update God bless Dev for such an amazing app Thanks! |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Nice |
[2012-11-02] A Google User: 69.71k lean fast excellent! wonder why it needs internet permissions - malware? |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: best of its kind this one is far more user friendly then other similar app... and it eases my life! should be a build-in android function! |
[2012-10-07] A Google User: Almost there Doesnt show sub menus like 'manage applications' & 'SD & phone storage' which is shown by the stock equivilent |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Best task switcher as far as I know It replaced default task switcher of my Nexus One's ICS. Simple, super fast, elegant, configurable... Almost everything one can expect from a task switcher. Simply double tab the home button, you'll find the receltly used applications list and can easily walk through them. It minimizes the need to frequently go home screen or application drawer. The best thing of it is its speed. Just try it, if you're finding a fast and lightweight task stiwcher. |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: Set not as a default home it never sticks as the default home even after i set it to be so. it lets me select it as a default home everytime. needs to fix this. it has been like this for awhile.... i ask to fix this as a long time user |
[2012-08-15] A Google User: Great! Just what i was looking for... |
[2012-08-14] A Google User: Great app, never crashes, shows closed apps too! Need ability to add a few fave apps also! Thanks! Vibrant/Gal.S. Default launcher, try Home Switcher |
[2012-08-14] A Google User: Add app info option App is good but there should be a option of app info also to see the app info of last opened app directly....hope this option will be added in next update soon....for now its 3 stars...add the above feature and my rating will be back to 5 stars... |
[2012-08-08] A Google User: Another staple Best task switcher in the market, hands down. Its behavior should be an Android stock feature. |
[2012-08-06] A Google User: it has some problems it's great app, but after reboot system loses default home button setting. |
[2012-07-25] A Google User: José A. "...eff...know your standing...thanks...res:250712" |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: A Few Days Later I'm having problems in that this does not stick as my default launcher. I have to re-select it every day. |
[2012-06-23] A Google User: Multitasking perfected Is fast, switches tasks and gets out of your way. Perfect. Maybe some pretty-fying here and there could he interesting as long as it doesn't sacrifice speed. I use this with a bluetooth keyboard with a home hotkey... works like a charm... just wish that more apps on Android returned to their state after a switch. Then it would be a dream computer replacement! |
[2012-06-23] A Google User: Very useful Another addition to my multitasking apps |
[2012-06-14] A Google User: Solid... useful Been using it for around 1½ yrs, wouldn't part with it. One tip: even if you have only one launcher on your device at any time, Prehome is still useful to implement for its bigger & better task screen, i.e. long-pressing [Home] brings up the last 12 or 18 apps (wtv you set it for) rather than the stock 6 (on this device). |
[2012-06-11] A Google User: thumps up Perfect app for enhancing multitask switching |
[2012-06-04] A Google User: Nice |
[2012-05-28] A Google User: Perfection Absolute saves my day, every day. |
[2012-04-06] A Google User: Pretty good! Wish I could pay to get rid of the ad and support Salt (the developer). I'm weird like that. My only other gripe is that there's no way to exclude certain apps from appearing in PreHome's list. |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: works great tried out a bunch of apps tor switching tasks. settled for this one!!! |
[2012-03-16] A Google User: Awesome This is the best thing that has happened to my phone ever…Droid 3 won't let you set it's native homescreen app to default on home button press. Prehome will do this if you tell it to in the prefs while adding functionality on one home press. Now I can keep my homescreen customizations while jumping between my other launchers without them hijacking my homescreen. TY! (PS use Home Control or some home manager to switch between home launchers.) |
[2012-03-07] A Google User: Very good Thank you. :-) |
[2012-02-26] A Google User: Perfect Using it with "Go Launcher" on SGS2. Set to run this application on "glide up" gesture. Desktop is still displaying first by pressing "home" button. Works perfect! PreHome shows currently running and recent applications separately. Very helpful app! |
[2012-02-24] A Google User: Pretty good Since I switched my Nokia N900 to Samsung Galaxy Note I've been looking for a way to have a similar "Alt+Tab" function as it had in the Maemo 5 OS (You just simply had a constant task switch button in the upper-left corner and it took you to a Windows 7-like Alt+Tab menu, where you had a live preview of all the currently running apps and could jump to any one of them, and had a function to kill them 1 by 1). Now this app, does not show you a preview (that would be André Rabold's Perfect Task Switcher...however that requires rooting to have previews and I do not want to void my software warranty just yet), but it gets the job done. PreHome makes it remarkably simple to navigate between apps with a simple Home button push, and with another push you can get back to the actual home launcher. So I would say this is one of the most useful apps for someone who likes practical things, and I'm glad to have it. (The only way it could be better if it could show live previews of the running apps.) Thanks for the great app :) |
[2012-02-23] A Google User: After further testing... I found out that the reason for the default home screen resetting itself after every reboot is no other then prehome. When prehome is installed and I set any launcher to default and reboot phone the default home is cleqres and am forces to select a new default home every reboot as well as every install/uninstall of an app. Very annoying. Almost decided to format phone. Uninstalled until this is fixed. 2.3GB SGS II UPDATE: Nevermind fault was Go Launcher. |
[2012-02-22] A Google User: It works perfectly |
[2012-02-19] A Google User: A nice task switcher for those who doesn't like the user-unfriendly "long press home" native task switcher. |
[2012-02-12] A Google User: Just need a dock to make android perfect . |
[2012-02-10] A Google User: I like it but... Works OK, great concept, but it's so dark I can barely see the icons, on my rooted HTC G2, and none of the background or layout choices make it better. I like it but it's too hard to see on this phone. |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: Been looking for this everywhere |
[2012-01-30] A Google User: Fantastic Works seamlessly and makes navigating on the phone so much simpler and streamlined. |
[2012-01-21] A Google User: Perfect "Re cent Apps" replacement Super simple and loads of very quickly. Exactly what I was looking for! |
[2012-01-06] A Google User: Simple & Fast. |
[2012-01-03] A Google User: I find it very useful. Thanks for this simple task switcher! |
[2011-12-11] A Google User: I was looking for something simple to quickly switch between running apps, well this is it ! Now I press home 2x and select the app I want. |
[2011-11-21] A Google User: best app switching app one problem though, the name is not practical enuff. took a long time to find it cuz i 4got the name |
[2011-11-12] A Google User: No better than default task switcher Motorola Electrify running Gingerbread - doesn't work any differently from stock task switcher (by long-hold on home key). For example, if I'm in the middle of composing a text, and I need to switch to, say, a browser to look something up, when I switch back to text with PreHome, I'm returned to the Text app main menu, rather than the text message I was composing. Does the same thing within K9 (great email app). Uninstalling. If I'm missing something, please comment. Thx. |
[2011-11-09] A Google User: Great. Using it as a long-press home replacement on Cyanogen. I don't like it as a complete home replacement, but as a recent apps replacement it's great. Too bad you can't remap long-press home on stock based Roms. |
[2011-11-01] A Google User: Excellent addition to Go Launcher |
[2011-10-08] A Google User: Nice but icons are too small in HTC Flyer. Not tablet friendly. |
[2011-09-26] A Google User: Awesome Extremely lightweight. Using this to replace the cumbersome MIUI sidekick app :D |
[2011-09-19] A Google User: Truly 5-star |
[2011-08-29] A Google User: Works well but sometimes doesn't show all running apps as running. |
[2011-08-29] A Google User: Good, fast, but want the card look as opposed to a list of icons |
[2011-08-25] A Google User: fantastic does what it needs to well and nothing more |
[2011-08-18] A Google User: finally, a nice, light-weight alt-tab for my sgs2! nice work! |
