[2013-01-10] A Google User: Not as Advertised I see no option to search the Calendar. |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Intelligent and useful Just needs an update for higher resolution or bigger screens. Good work and so far its the best intelligent search app. Looks into other fields and can search partial matches which other search apps cant. |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: Used to work well I used the app a lot until it somehow lost the ability to open the correct contact from the search results. The search finds the contact I am looking for, but opens up a different contact when I select any of the results. Reinstalling didn't help. Would have been 5 stars if not for this problem. |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Wow My instinct is to hunt down the android os developers and beat them with phones. Then find the google developers of docs and email and whip them with search strings... How brain dead can they be to over look searching partial strings and all possible data bases of personal relevance. This is PIM 101... It took 4 days of hunting, and another user to find "Power Search" , but found it. ... I feel guilty not paying for it, as it is free... Downsides: I haven't yet got it to search gmail, which it probably can with right setting. It didn't search doc files properly. Not sure about xls files, and will test later. It DOES search app data; it searched astrid but not "get the milk". But, what is the alternative? So far quick searching, but did hang once after trying to tweak a gmail account type. I think this happened because I don't understand proper gmail settings. |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: WHAT IS UP WITH GIVING PASSWORD FROM MY EMAIL ACOUNT FROM HTC THANK'S BUT NO THANK'S. |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: No oauth? Kind of a weird search app. Makes you enter any Google login info for accounts you want to search, and is limited to two. It was great on the G1, but it hasn't kept up, which is bad since the crippling of the Andeoid search function is so entirely crippling. |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Super Suprt |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: WTF? U WANT MY EMAIL PASSWORDS? HAHA U GOTTA BE KIDDING. SURE IT'S FREE BUT THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY. |
[2012-10-19] A Google User: Just the best A must it's easy to use with quick results |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: simple, fast, small i could never search my android calendar successfully; it would hang forever. installed this simple/small app, finds all my calendar info (and anything else) in less than 3 seconds. great job, highly recommended. |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: Cannot live without I don't need it often, but when I need it, I need it badly. It finds the things in my phone that Google doesn't, like partial telephone numbers. |
[2012-09-25] A Google User: No words lacks one feature...u cnt go to the searched file just by clicking in search window... |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Simple and easy to use Just what I needed! |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Ahora funciona bien Funciona bien, pero la lista de de resultados tiene una letra minuscula ilegible |
[2012-08-01] A Google User: Great app! Really amazing app. Does really deep searches! However, with the new Ice Cream Sandwiches it hangs! Please update |
[2012-07-25] A Google User: Impressive Works very nicely. The only additional functionality I'd like is to have the search result highlighted WITHIN the document, ideally with the document automatically scrolled to the first search result. |
[2012-07-22] A Google User: Search Ist timer |
[2012-07-04] A Google User: Fits my needs dead on |
[2012-06-23] A Google User: livefolders ftw! love this app! i could still use it on ics with LiveFolder Shortcut :) |
[2012-06-10] A Google User: Must must must have! |
[2012-05-23] A Google User: Best search In many ways nothing beats the old Palm Pilot. It was fast simple, and the global search was better than anything Android or iOs can offer. Power Search changes that. It's just like the Palm search, and it's fantastic for people with poor memories who use a phone as a second brain. |
[2012-05-18] A Google User: Sf Excellent tool |
[2012-05-09] A Google User: Don't bother Never worked properly. Contacts in the same organization are jumbled. The name that comes first alphabetically in the same organization will get dialed regardless of what the search result shows or who you intend to dial. Quits working completely and resorts back to searching by first name only after a few days. Restarting the phone will make it work for a few more days. |
[2012-05-08] A Google User: broken! :( used to work on other devices but niw it's completely broken on galaxy nexus/ics. display is so tiny i cant read anything |
[2012-05-03] A Google User: Rubbish Couldn't find a raindrop in a thunderstorm,let alone a single search. |
[2012-04-21] A Google User: A Must-have app The Android os which belongs to the messiah of search has a native search engine which is a deplorable junk. In this scenario Power Search is an absolute necessity. Without an app such as this I would have dumped the Android system long back. Thanks Power Search. |
[2012-04-17] A Google User: Ics 4.0.4 Slow and does not search apps |
[2012-04-06] A Google User: Fantastic! I have been looking for something like this ever since I have been using Android phones. I have slowly realised that Google search is useless when it comes to searching your phone. Power search finds matches in both my contacts memo field and my diary - plus just about everywhere else. Well done! |
[2012-03-28] A Google User: It works! At last, a search app that works. Anyone annoyed that searches within google calendar don't show all entries will be glad of this. Shame on google got not having their own search software working like this! |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: Too bad |
[2012-03-08] A Google User: Search inside the calendar! This app searches inside the calendar, not just the titles but everything inside! Essential! @Motorola Milestone 2 |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: V2.2.2 very good. It works. Sometimes it will lead to a seemly different contact, most likely because they were linked in a way. 3.5.2012 |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Wow! Just what I needed. Why does Android have this inbuilt? |
[2012-02-24] A Google User: Fantastic app for finding data! This is a great app! I use Business Calendar for appointments but it has a one year limit on searching the calendar for past appointments. With Power Search, I can locate appointments as far back as the data stored on my device. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and have found the searches to be quick and accurate. I'm using it to search calendar, contacts and texts only, though it will search more apps if you set it up in preferences to do so. My thanks to this developer for solving my searching dilemma! |
[2012-02-02] A Google User: Phonewide Search Very Good,Gets the info you want. But rather Show.Any chance of speeding it up ? |
[2012-01-06] A Google User: Calendar search. One thing Google Calendar is lacking is search inside the calendar. It's solved here. Great job. |
[2011-12-16] A Google User: uninstalling I used to think this worked pretty good, but recently I discovered that some searches on my HTC desire Z were linked wrong. That is, the search indicates that a Contact is relevant, however, when I click on the contact, it brings me to some other, unrelated, contact. I can't rely on this, so as soon as I find a replacement universal search tool, I will be uninstalling this app. |
[2011-12-12] A Google User: Works just fine! |
[2011-12-07] A Google User: At least... At least i can search contact by company name! |
[2011-11-28] A Google User: means nothing in modern era |
[2011-11-28] A Google User: Since Droid2 & other Droids have no native phone-wide search app (ridiculous, right?) this app is essential. Search results should appear quickly. If not, check which email acct you are using with Android Market. I have a dedicated acct for my phone and an older acct that I use as well. App suddenly stopped giving results, wd just search endlessly. Think this happened after Gingerbread update. Uninstalled. At top of Market page used pulldown to select other older GMail acct. Now works again. Would be 5 stars if not for this glitch. |
[2011-11-27] A Google User: Perfect Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! |
[2011-11-22] A Google User: Great app! The default contact apps cannot search for fields other than name. This app allows me to search any field & part of it! Good job! |
[2011-11-19] A Google User: At last to an app that allows me to search my phone. You've got to try it, it has found everything I've asked it to find. LCP (EVO 3D) |
[2011-11-13] A Google User: Slooooowww! Doesn't it index the data? This app has been several minutes now searching my phone for a word that I know is in the Calendar. But it's still searching... no response. Doesn't it create a data index, like Aurora? It should. Once it does, I'll try it again and hopefully see some results. |
[2011-11-12] A Google User: A very nice app and works great. |
[2011-11-10] A Google User: Calendar Search...A+ |
[2011-10-31] A Google User: No email search Despite the images of the app showing email search it doesn't offer that ability when I installed it. Uninstalled. |
[2011-10-25] A Google User: No good enough Search what i want but cannot open |
[2011-09-24] A Google User: Probably the most useful program I've installed on the EVO. Shame on Android for not having this as the default search program. |
[2011-09-18] A Google User: Why does the search produce other contacts? Used to work fine but now finds a contact and when I pull it up it is another contact entirely. Can't figure it out. |
[2011-09-11] A Google User: Does what it says Works great on Atrix. Wish I could assign it to the search key. |
[2011-09-07] A Google User: Best Great way to search for & find things like calendar events, especially since Google didn't provide a native search function for that on the phone. |
[2011-09-01] A Google User: So simple, so satisfying. Comprehensively tagged contacts imported from other programs Were worthless to me until this app allows me to search notes, etc. |
[2011-08-03] A Google User: I love this!!!! Does exactly what I need! I needed to search the contacts comments on Droid X. Nice interface too! Good job! |

[2011-07-13] A Google User: Good but won't work on repeat appointments. It's excellent in every respect except it will not find most of my repeat appointments. I'm not sure where the problem lies but these are meetings that I have once a month and are set as repeats. It only manages to locate a fraction of them. |

[2011-03-12] A Google User: Free At Last! Must have been modeled after the Palm global search; it looks and acts a lot like it. I really missed this till now! Shame on Android - you would expect this to be already built in. Two improvement suggestions: 1) Search within Astrid notes, not just the titles, and 2) When searching through SD card files, have option to open files with the default app for file type, instead of the Power Search viewer. I have a lot of Word documents that I open with Doc 2 Go, and they don't display well in the viewer. |
[2011-03-12] A Google User: Perfect, quite fast compared to the search on htc desire hd. It was taking forever to load calendar entries. |
