Photography Assistant (v. 1.5)

Photography Assistant provides exposure setting calculation and depth of field/hyperfocal distance calculation.
It was designed mostly to use with film cameras, although the dof/hyperfocal function can be useful for digital cameras too.
It also tries to take advantage of the ambient light sensor on the phone.
The exposure setting calculation supports three modes: aperture priority, shutter priority and manual mode.

I use both dSLRs and compacts. Pity this app doesn't cater for P&S cameras like the Canon G12, S95, Lumix LX3, LX5, etc. Otherwise this app is OK.

neat app but dark grey text on light grey is bad This is a neat application and works great with my Motorola Atrix BUT the settings for ISO, Aperture, etc... are a dark grey on a light grey background and I can barely read what the settings are. I find it easier to tap on them to see what the radio button is set to which wastes time... I didn't find anywhere to change the text color or I would do that in a second.

Good idea! It works not so well on my milestone. Longing for tour new version. Everybody should try calibrating the light sensor. It works.
