Panacea Database (v. 0.3.1) Разработано Panacea Supplies |
Panacea Database allows you to open Microsoft Access databases. We currently handle:
* Microsoft Access 2000
* Microsoft Access 2002
* Microsoft Access 2003
* Microsoft Access 2007
* Microsoft Access 2010 (most databases for 2010)
Panacea Database can handle the ACCDB or MDB (Jet) format.
The Panacea Database application workflow:
First, you can either scan your SD card for all ACCDB and MDB files, or browse your SD card for those files. Then you select the database you want to use.
The application then lists that database's tables. You then select the table of interest.
You can then iterate back and forth through the rows of that table.
The application also allows you to search for rows with a particular value in a particular column. The program will then display the rows which have that value for that column. The application allows for partial and case-insensitive text searches.
Panacea Database is completely free. We have an ad banner on top of pages, and make money on clicks.
Panacea Database is a new program. We call it version 0.3.1, meaning it is not at version 1.0 yet. We have tested it, and it works well for us in its limited functionality, but it does not have a lot of features yet. Subsequent versions will have more features such as: being able to grab Access files in places other than your SD drive, as well as allowing you to do more manipulation of your Access file (changing it, porting it etc.)
It works well for what it does, but functionality is limited! If you like it but want more features, e-mail us and suggest which ones to work on first.
Panacea Database makes use of the LGPL license Jackcess library which is under the Lesser Gnu Public License. It also makes use of the Apache commons-land, commons-logging and log4j libraries, which are under the Apache 2.0 license.

[2011-12-06] calvinw: Limited functionality no column sort. No vertical scroll. Records are viewed 10 at a time. Search sd hangs. Better off exporting files to a spreadsheet and using another |

[2011-12-04] Anonymous: Great Idea ... but... I love the idea of being able to load my MS Access files onto my phone. I made a very simple database as a trial to see if it would work. I did a small inventory file on some of the books that I own and put sorted the titles by alphabet before saving. I loaded the file onto my phone and it works...sort of. The file does come up, no problem, but the the titles are all over the place and not in the alphabetized state of the original file. What's up with that?? Shouldn't it show up on the phone in the exact format that it was originally saved in? There needs to be a sort function available in the app for columns. |

[2011-10-30] Kim: very good start would be good if search/selection would display in row view Would be good if table One-2-Many relates, would result in a similar nested row view as Access does. being able to access the extrenal Sdcard would be great to. best way is to allow to navigate one level up from /mnt/sdcard.... depending on models de ext sdcard is mounted as /mnt/external (asus transformer), as /mnt/sdcard2 (Sony Tablet S), as /mnt/ext-sdcard (Xoom). |

[2011-10-29] Bob: A good start Like others, I would like to have a column sort function. Still, a good app with great potential. |

[2011-10-10] David: Good start...but needs file browsing flexibility I have a Asus Transformer. It mounts the removable SD card as "Removable". This application will access files ONLY from the SD card. Therefore, in order to view any access database, I need to first move/copy it to the SD card. A minor inconvenience that could be easily remedied. Otherwise - great start! Thanks. |

[2011-09-16] Childof7sins: Good Start This is a great start. (Better then the other s*** I've seen) Wish it could sort. Crashed my Acer Iconia the first time I tried to search. But, worked after a restart. Better then other apps that just turn the DB into a pdf. Will still help me at work. Please continue working on it. Could take over DB viewer market. Touching up the UI wouldn't hurt either. |

[2011-09-12] Phil: Just what I needed! However can't see all the screen and buttons on a HTC Wildfire. If this could be fixed it would get 5 stars! :) |
|
[2011-08-04] google: It works, however no way to directly select a file, it will scan the whole sd card.Takes too long on a 32GB card! Not suitabable for small screens! |

[2011-08-03] Rich: No back page and search never finds anything even when theres 100's of hits. Good how it opens files of over 25,000 entry's though |
|
[2011-06-27] Talal: Quick review The search function is working good. But for viewing the database it doesn't show the next row button. Galaxy S 2.2 |
