[2011-06-27] CrazyCoder: Explanation how it works: this app is signed with Android Open Source Project (AOSP) certificate, therefore it can be installed on the devices running AOSP based ROMs, signed with exactly the same key. You will not be able to install this app on any other vendor specific ROM. It doesn't need root since it runs with system permissions, but most AOSP ROMs already have root anyway. Google has banned AOSP signed apps in Market, so the dev will not be able to release an update for this app. If you need a working solution, use ClockSync. |

[2011-03-18] epere4: Does it require root? When I tried to install it I got a message that says "Installation error: Unknown reason -8". The description does not say anything about needing a rooted phone, but I am wondering if it needs root. Please, advice or add the requirement in the description (I wouldn't rate it so low if it was clear that root was needed) |
