My Anchor Watch Pro (v. 3.2.2) Разработано terboel |
My Anchor Watch aims at being the best and most reliable Safety Tool of its kind for sailors and yachters. Low battery consumption was a high priority design requirement
My Anchor Watch is your personal Anchor Watch. It is easy to use, and will give you peace of mind while at anchor. One of the best apps for anchoring. For sail- and power-boats
It has more features than similar apps costing more than twice as much
Please note that GPS performance and accuracy is determined by your device's hardware, and not by this App. If you experience bad accuracy or many false Alarms, you should try to move the device to another place, e.g. on deck
IF YOU ARE ANCHORING AT E.G. 30 FT, USE AT LEAST 90 FT CHAIN, AND SET DRIFT LIMIT TO AT LEAST 130 FT
New feature: Option to Set Anchor Position 'by Projection' after your boat has drifted to the end of the cable/chain
New feature: Optional ALARM SECTOR.
Can also be used as Tide/Wind Change Alarm
Set up an Alarm Sector to avoid other boats, rocks, shallow water, or simply to get a notification of a change of wind direction
My Anchor Watch makes sure that you are alerted if the anchor fails to hold, and starts dragging
When you are lying in your bunk at night, you can easily use My Anchor Watch to check that the boat is still where you expect it to be
The battery is conserved by having the app running in the background, and by letting the user optionally configure a slow (selectable) GPS Update Rate
After the Anchor has been set, you can close the User Interface screen, letting My Anchor Watch continue running in the background, saving power. After a while you will learn to interpret the various warning sounds, such as the GPS Status Warning signal
When your boat exceeds the Drift Limit ("Scope"), or enters the optional Alarm Sector - both set by you, an Alarm is activated
Access to the Internet or a Telephone Network is normally not required. If you want My Anchor Watch to send SMS Messages, however, you need access to the Telephone Network
(*) NOTE that reception of SMSs will NOT work on tablets without a SIM card, but Messages from this App can now be SENT by Email (if the device has access to Internet)
My Anchor Watch can also be used as an Emergency Navigator
Have it with you at all times, also when you are a guest on other yachts. For your own sake, and for the safety of your host and his crew. Help them to stop worrying about their anchor

[2013-07-27] A Google User: A great tool, well worth it Amazing job on this app. It is more so a tool and it actually works well! False alarm filters work good. Some new users may get frustrated trying to figure out the settings at first and think the app is broken but it truly works great! |

[2013-07-09] A Google User: Rest easy This app is awesome. I use it whenever I anchor overnight and I sleep right through the night because I know the app will let me know if the anchor starts dragging. Really easy to use after reading comprehensive the help menu. |

[2013-07-01] A Google User: Great app I've been using MAW Pro for about a month and am very happy with it. It's not magic though - you need to understand the technology, in particular, GPS is not perfect, and can give a fix with a pretty large inaccuracy. It's also important to set your anchor position accurately. I usually set drift limit to 1.5 times my scope. This reduces the inevitable false alarms due to GPS innacuracy. Read the manual and sleep well at night. |

[2013-03-10] A Google User: Pretty cool software Have not tried it on my boat but initial impression is good. The author is obviously into the quality I gather after reading his help text. Would be a 5 if I could change the background color from green or after I use it in real life offshore. |

[2013-02-05] A Google User: Invaluable for anchoring I used this extensively last season as an anchor watch. Displays your anchor swing on a radar-like interface so you can immediately see if the boat is dragging. Setting the max. anchor drift is important so that a change of tide doesn't set the alarm off. You set the actual anchor position, length of line and bearing to anchor. The device needs a good GPS signal to work but I've used it in a cabin and the app can differentiate between bad GPS and an anchor moving. |

[2012-12-09] A Google User: Works great Have used it extensively in the Bahamas with never a problem |

[2012-09-03] A Google User: Didn't work I used it this weekend after having trouble trying to get my anchor to hook for an overnight mooring. I set the alarm at 50 feet and it would go off about ever two hours. GPS accuracy was at 9ft the whole night, but it was clear I wasn't moving at all the whole night. All this app did was keep me awake. Good idea, but needs some work. |

[2012-08-18] A Google User: Anchorwatch Brilliant! I can now sleep right through the night without worry. Easy to operate. No drain on boat's battery. Essential ap! |

[2012-08-08] A Google User: Excellent with very responsive developer and support Some great features, the developer is very receptive to feedback and open to ideas from users which means the app is constantly getting better. He has incorporated changes to make this app perfect for all devices. What's the value of a full nights sleep at anchor, knowing the boat is safe- whether you are on it or not- possibly priceless?! |

[2012-07-10] sscram: Good in principle, requires major additions in practice Some great features, but also some things I was very frustrated with. The challenge of getting this app to really work well for all users across different androids is a difficult one. Luckily the developer is very receptive to feedback and open to ideas from users. I believe he will incorporate changes to make this app perfect for all devices. What's the value of a full nights sleep at anchor, knowing the boat is safe- whether you are on it or not- possibly priceless?! |

[2012-06-28] A Google User: Great app, a few features could make it even better. It would be nice if the anchor position could be adjusted after it is set. You currently click when you drop the hook, but in many anchorages you drag a bit before the hook bites, and you are left with an incorrect anchor position. It would also be nice to pause the app so that I could take my phone to shore. |

[2012-06-08] A Google User: Great app - add text size Hi, Use this all the time on my boat. Thanks. Could I ask that you change the settings to change the text size and color - in the sunlight, the small black letters are difficult to see. |
