[2013-08-26] A Google User: Great Can learn morse code pretty quickly with this, nice to see it requires the timing be accurate. |
[2013-08-25] A Google User: Not really a trainer Training mode for send assumes you already know Morse code. Not for a beginner for sure. The tone for the paddle only sounds the first time on a nexus 7. After that its silent. I need something more for a beginner. |
[2013-08-24] A Google User: Simple & great tool You'll never know when you need this tool, so it's good to be learned! |
[2013-08-19] A Google User: Really good app! Allows to learn the good old school communication method. Really good made. |
[2013-08-17] A Google User: Exactly what you need to learn and practise morse code I really can't think of any way to improve on this app... it's great. So simple, and yet so powerful. And free! Actually, there is a discrepancy between the hand book and the app. Handbook says apostrophe is .----. but app expects .---. |
[2013-08-14] A Google User: Simple but fun Great job! I like how it's such a small application and it has just everything you need :) simple is all I want |
[2013-08-13] A Google User: Wow Wow |
[2013-08-09] A Google User: Amazing |
[2013-07-31] A Google User: Great app! Learned morse code after using the app for a couple hours. |
[2013-07-28] A Google User: Sound issue on Android 4.3 Sound disappears after the first few taps. |
[2013-07-23] A Google User: The best one. Hands down. I do wish it had vibration mode . |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Good. Can improve. For one who knows nothing about Morse code, starting without any hint doesn't help. The handbook is there but the user has to switch to it to look, then go back to the exercise. For the very beginner there should be an option to display the letter being practiced, at least for some seconds, right on the practice area. Still, a great app. |
[2013-07-15] A Google User: Learned morse in one hr With the help of this app, I learned morse code in about an hour. |
[2013-07-15] A Google User: Navy ship Good for stdy :-) |
[2013-07-13] A Google User: Fun game This is a fun game and educational as well. I enjoy playing this and learning from it. Now to find one like this for sheet music. |
[2013-07-07] A Google User: Great app As far as a Morse code app goes, this is near perfect. It is a great way to learn Morse and a lot of fun. |
[2013-07-03] A Google User: Great Learning Tool & Easy to Use I installed this app and began teaching myself Morse code over a long weekend. At the end of three days, I mastered all of the numbers and about half of the letters and symbols. This is a great learning and teaching tool and quite easy to use. Best of all, it costs nothing and is advertising-free. What more could you ask for? Thank you to the developers for a great application. |
[2013-06-29] A Google User: Cool if u can read morse code text me I wanna see if what I have is right |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: SDcard, please Would give another 3 stars if can be moved to sdcard. |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Great! Really easy to learn. Thanks. |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: No farnsworth Goof if you're using it at 15 wpm. With no Farnsworth option the lower speeds are hard to decipher. |
[2013-06-22] A Google User: Pratik Pathak excellent |
[2013-06-22] A Google User: Superb You will not believe me, within one month I learned full alphabets and numbers and I have been trying to improve myself Great app thanks to the developers.. |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: Needs: * Improved sound quality. Current sound is very glitchy/choppy and completely unreadable at high speeds * Farnsworth timing * Not a-b-c training course. Use Koch method or random letters * user enterable text or random words for transmit practice * landscape mode * data logging and statistics * Better sync with touch key * allow settings menu in all screens (ie use the menu key) PROS: Its the only cw training app with textbox entry and automated scoring. |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: It is awesome |
[2013-06-18] A Google User: Intermittent static After upgrading to 1.2.0 "crackling" can be heard intermittently when receiving. Rating would be a 5 otherwise. |
[2013-06-17] A Google User: Great App |
[2013-06-17] A Google User: Very good I learned to transmit all of them under3 hours by following the levels (i was watching TV too), highly recommended app. |
[2013-06-17] A Google User: I like it. Thanks |
[2013-06-17] A Google User: Best in class Haven't found another app that works as intuitively in this category |
[2013-05-24] A Google User: Favorite This is my all-time favorite app! Thank you so much for it! Is there any way to add the receiving-words function? The app is still amazing, without it. Thanks! :D |
[2013-05-24] A Google User: Nearly perfect Not only can you learn Morse Code with this app, but you can become proficient as well. The only thing that's missing is receiving words; is I'd gladly spring for the pro version if this were a feature. |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: Good but could be better It's basic and missing many obvious features or conveniences but it does help learning. To the developer, could you please add voice to speech options to read the letter out loud in English when practicing in transmit letter mode? I see no reason I need to look at the screen just to read the letter when I can enter the answer by tapping without looking. This could be so much more convenient if I didn't need to look down at my phone (and see the awfully basic interface). |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: Learnt morse code in 1 evening with this! Would be even better with a test mode. -.. --- .-- -. .-.. --- .- -.. ! (download!) |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: Easy to use and to learn the code |
[2013-05-20] A Google User: Excellent way to learn morse Using this app I have learned how to use Morse for the foundation radio exam. The timing has to be spot on which forces you to be accurate. |
[2013-05-12] A Google User: Not accurate I will transmit the same letter multiple times, but recieve a random result each time. The app consistantly confuses what I insert. |
[2013-05-11] A Google User: Helped me learn morse code in a matter of weeks! Great |
[2013-05-08] A Google User: Simply Amazing This is hands down the best wsy to lesrn morse code. |
[2013-04-22] A Google User: Pretty good. I wish Pad/Sound responce was immediate. No latency. |
[2013-04-13] A Google User: Buggy Can't quick type. Have to type at painfully slow wpm.. also too much time forced between practice letters. Good try. Bad final execution. |
[2013-04-13] A Google User: Very Useful This app is great for learning morse code. From my experience this is the best free morse code app in the play store, but it would be nice if I could recieve words? Overall this app is user friendly and has taught me much more than I expected! Thanks Todd! |
[2013-04-07] A Google User: good nice job guys |
[2013-04-07] A Google User: Awsom Just awsom But on Samsung Y it only shows half the word in the word mod. But cool! .-..---.-.. |
[2013-04-02] A Google User: Great app! Great app for learning Morse code. |
[2013-03-26] A Google User: Perfect! Exactly what you wanted, look no further. Lean&fast interface, customisable sound and speed, works like a charm. Big ups. |
[2013-03-17] A Google User: Thanks this is great Fix the sliders in the options/settings menu- the text only updates when I slide them but not if i press them to change values. .. I'm a programmer, things like that make my left eye twitch |
[2013-03-14] A Google User: Great! Works great, using this as my main practice tool. Would be great to have words on receive too. |
[2013-03-09] A Google User: Excellent learning and training This tool is very well designed for learning and training Morse code. Brilliant. No other tool I have tried has come close to this. EDIT: ... so good I just donated and paid for an app for the first time in my life. :-) |
[2013-03-06] A Google User: Good Fun , goid to learn history |
[2013-03-06] A Google User: Great! I really like this little program! My only problem is, on the Word Trainer part, the text is too large and it is cut off at the bottom -- I can't see the letters fully & there is no way to change the font size in settings. |
[2013-03-04] A Google User: Fantastic Its been an hour and ive learned to transmit up to N, its a great learning tool. Just posting a reviee now before I forget to do it later. I think this apps strength is its simplicity |
[2013-03-01] A Google User: Great learning tool! Downloaded this app while I was waiting in line at Disneyland and in just one day I learned a lot!! I found that the best way to learn is to just use the handbook as you write sentences in the free-pad. Everyday I take a few minutes to write in the pad, so I dont get rusty. Just learned it for fun, but the other day I was watching Adventure Time and one of the characters was speaking in morse, and I totally knew what it was saying! In sum, it's a great app. |
[2013-02-09] A Google User: Fun Easiest way to learn Morse code. Typed this using DotDash Keyboard after just a few days of playing. Yes, I said playing. |
[2013-02-03] A Google User: Not bad Works well, mostly. Options need to go on the menu key. Having to go back several screens to set speed is annoying. Sending Morse, touch detection seems slow. GS3. |
[2013-01-26] A Google User: Good enough I liked it. It would be more good to change the sound tones from dying of at the end to making sharp tones. |
[2013-01-26] A Google User: Ok, but scoring is messed up Works fine but scoring is incorrect. As soon as you get one letter wrong, it assumes you got all the rest wrong too. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Samsung Infuse I downloaded about 7 different's ones this is the best 1. great for someone who just wants to learn Morse code. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Good but could be better It's basic but does help learning. However, honestly, would it be too much to ask for the app to read the letter out loud in English? I see no reason I need to look at the screen just to get the letter when I can enter the answer by tapping without looking. This could be so much more convenient if I didn't need to look down at my phone (and see the simplistic interface) |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: love it kb3zps New ham looking to have something else to learn after I get my general |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: Awesome app for learning morse code. Only 1 month of playing and I can send entire messages. |
[2013-01-11] A Google User: Total banner Its fun to learn Morse Code with this app. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: WTF The sound just stoped |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Good job I love this app I now know the 26 letter alphabet and #'s but I was going to ask a fav if you would make an app for a keyboard that only has one pad for entering code I would pay a dollar for that |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: A? WHY on Earth won't this app transmit or receive anything other than A! This would be such a convenient way to learn. |
[2012-12-14] A Google User: Terrible Interface Really good app for teaching morse code, both transmit and receive. Unfortunately, it UI is horrendous. Since the author disabled rotating the interface instead of fixing the bugs, I can't use this on my tablet, which I only use in landscape mode. Will give a better review if the author improves the UI to a usable state. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Love it! Can you make the paddle a little bit more responsive? I go to tap things out and it just forgets to unkey! That would make this app perfect! 73's KF7ZML |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: Great tutor! This program is amazing! I have learned so much so quickly. Thank you thank you thank you! |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Drawing board All known CW tones use an ADSR=0; just use a hard attack, straight tone! Yours is tapered, and doesnt exist! Orientation is a dead-simple fix; your disabling it is a work-around, not a fix. BTW, use LBE Privacy Guard to block internet access used by many ad engines. FOR INNAPPROPRIATE ADS? This app uses AdMob, which means you have to change the browsing settings in Chrome while logged in as you (dumbass blaming the dev!) |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Good app |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: Awesome! I totally learned letters A-O in only a few hours! The display got to be a little harsh on my eyes though so I'll have to pick it up from there later.. but how cool the way you can test yourself with transmission and audio receiving! (I totally aced the quizzes). Great job! |
[2012-11-29] A Google User: Awesome I've gone from 0 to 15WPM with this software. My favourite for transmitting practice. Great. How about receiving word practice? |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: marvelous i think i have learned this with in one day.no words to describe.now frankly speaking i know about m o r s e c o d e perfectly |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Sound? I have the 'San Francisco / ZTE blade' and I've fiddled with the settings but cannot get the sound to work... + instead of working through the alphabet the normal way it would be more useful to do it in order of most used in Morse : e it san hurdm wgvlfkk opjxcz yq . |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Good but ... It is fine for what it does, and much better than some others. There is room for improvement: 1. It has a primative interface. It shows the options icon but it is inactive. 2. There is NO documentation. One has to experiment to figure out how to use it. (Ex. You have to hit the charcter heard, then a CR in order for it to understand your answer.) Things like "burst" have to be figured out. Overall, a good trainer for someome learning, buf tedious if you want to increase speed. |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Superb! Really handy for learning new things such as Morse Code! ;) |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Decent but be careful I'm copying up to "level 14" at 10 wpm at 100% accuracy. However I realized I don't actually know all the actual letters - I'm associating the patterns with the physical locations of the keys on the on screen keyboard! So be very careful learning this way, and also practice writing letters on paper so you really know them. App itself needs refinement in a number of areas. Keyboard doesn't automatically come up when you go to receive mode. Settings screen didn't match current values first time, etc. |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Excellent I surprised the heck out of myself and learned the entire alphabet and numbers (no special characters), IN JUST TWO DAYS. Now I can just practice timing, speed, and listening a bit each day to permanantly imprint it. This app is fantastic! WAY EASIER THAN I EVER THOUGHT IT WOULD BE WITH THIS ELECTRONIC APPROACH. |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: I like this app. Very good. |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Bugs Just keeps playing an A... |
[2012-11-08] A Google User: Good app Need a way to send feed back and also need to have a option where you can display the dots and dashes underneath the letter so you don't have to keep changing screens. |
[2012-11-03] A Google User: ! Had a power outage. Learned Morse code during it with this app. |
[2012-11-02] A Google User: Best Morse tutor for Android. |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: Well done Very nice app. Works as promised. |
[2012-10-29] A Google User: Simply excellent Best I've ever tried |
[2012-10-29] A Google User: Best app ever Learned the alphabet in less than a week and can read already 10wpm. Thanks a lot for this genius app! |
[2012-10-19] A Google User: Awful ads Would be great if the ads weren't so inappropriate |
[2012-10-16] A Google User: One thing Everything is phenomenal except you can't really close the app..for example you "close it" but you notice when you press the volume keys it's supposed to show ringtone volume not music volume from app..have to force close says minimize it |
[2012-10-15] A Google User: So far so good You have to work at it yourself to push yourself but otherwise so far its great. Being g able to change frequency is also good because I do this with earphones and too high a frequency would hurt my ears. Love it. Better than some of the paid apps IMO However limitations on individual devices mean this might not be great for everyone. |
[2012-10-12] A Google User: Great! I love this app more and everytime I use it! |
[2012-10-09] A Google User: Awesome!!! I have always wanted to learn Morse code, just for fun. With this app I had learned the enter alphabet in < 3 hours! It would be nice if "receive" had words, and the send training levels could use some tweaking, (More recent words, more emphasis on words you get wrong - It obviously just pIcks a random letter wIthout intelligence.) but other than that it's awesome and free!!! |
[2012-10-06] A Google User: Great Ive always wanted to learn morse code! And this is the indicated app for that! Just great ;) |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Awesome free Morse trainer Overall great app, especially since it's free. Minor issues like popping audio and lag between screen press and sound on Droid razr maxx. Because of lag, my speed actually increases when I turn the sound off. When moving from letters to words, I thought the app was too picky about timing, but I've since figured out my cadence was inconsistent from one letter to the next. Six stars if you can do receiver training with words. |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Why the gross ads Great program.dark summoner ads show to much skin for kid use. Any way to disable these ads from your program? |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Great Now I can learn |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Great app Great app. Was able to pick up on it after a couple of days ,but a great tool to help learn an almost lost language. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Neat..only wish there was an option to have two buttons - one for dits one for dahs for paddle like actions |
[2012-10-02] A Google User: LOVE THIS APP! This app is really helping me with the code. I am seeing my best results so far. Needs callsigns added to the mix. |
[2012-09-09] A Google User: Best free Morse code trainer It's the best trainer app you can get for free. You can change the WPM, the pitch, etc. You can learn to hear and tap Morse, at different difficulty levels. |
[2012-09-07] A Google User: pretty good if you could add a vibrate mode or a screen flash mode so that it could be done silently, it would be just about perfect. |
