Not really a trainer Training mode for send assumes you already know Morse code. Not for a beginner for sure. The tone for the paddle only sounds the first time on a nexus 7. After that its silent. I need something more for a beginner.

Good. Can improve. For one who knows nothing about Morse code, starting without any hint doesn't help. The handbook is there but the user has to switch to it to look, then go back to the exercise. For the very beginner there should be an option to display the letter being practiced, at least for some seconds, right on the practice area. Still, a great app.

Great Learning Tool & Easy to Use I installed this app and began teaching myself Morse code over a long weekend. At the end of three days, I mastered all of the numbers and about half of the letters and symbols. This is a great learning and teaching tool and quite easy to use. Nearly perfect Not only can you learn Morse Code with this app, but you can become proficient as well. The only thing that's missing is receiving words; is I'd gladly spring for the pro version if this were a feature.

Good but could be better It's basic and missing many obvious features or conveniences but it does help learning. To the developer, could you please add voice to speech options to read the letter out loud in English when practicing in transmit letter mode? I see no reason I need to look at the screen just to read the letter when I can enter the answer by tapping without looking. This could be so much more convenient if I didn't need to look down at my phone (and see the awfully basic interface).

Great learning tool! Downloaded this app while I was waiting in line at Disneyland and in just one day I learned a lot!! I found that the best way to learn is to just use the handbook as you write sentences in the free-pad. Everyday I take a few minutes to write in the pad, so I dont get rusty. Just learned it for fun, but the other day I was watching Adventure Time and one of the characters was speaking in morse, and I totally knew what it was saying! In sum, it's a great app.

Terrible Interface Really good app for teaching morse code, both transmit and receive. Unfortunately, it UI is horrendous. Since the author disabled rotating the interface instead of fixing the bugs, I can't use this on my tablet, which I only use in landscape mode. Will give a better review if the author improves the UI to a usable state.

Drawing board All known CW tones use an ADSR=0; just use a hard attack, straight tone! Yours is tapered, and doesnt exist! Orientation is a dead-simple fix; your disabling it is a work-around, not a fix. BTW, use LBE Privacy Guard to block internet access used by many ad engines. FOR INNAPPROPRIATE ADS? This app uses AdMob, which means you have to change the browsing settings in Chrome while logged in as you (dumbass blaming the dev!)

Good but ... It is fine for what it does, and much better than some others. There is room for improvement: 1. It has a primative interface. It shows the options icon but it is inactive. 2. There is NO documentation. One has to experiment to figure out how to use it. (Ex. You have to hit the charcter heard, then a CR in order for it to understand your answer.) Things like "burst" have to be figured out. Overall, a good trainer for someome learning, buf tedious if you want to increase speed.

Decent but be careful I'm copying up to "level 14" at 10 wpm at 100% accuracy. However I realized I don't actually know all the actual letters - I'm associating the patterns with the physical locations of the keys on the on screen keyboard! So be very careful learning this way, and also practice writing letters on paper so you really know them. App itself needs refinement in a number of areas. Keyboard doesn't automatically come up when you go to receive mode. Settings screen didn't match current values first time, etc.

Excellent I surprised the heck out of myself and learned the entire alphabet and numbers (no special characters), IN JUST TWO DAYS. Now I can just practice timing, speed, and listening a bit each day to permanantly imprint it. This app is fantastic! WAY EASIER THAN I EVER THOUGHT IT WOULD BE WITH THIS ELECTRONIC APPROACH.

One thing Everything is phenomenal except you can't really close the app..for example you "close it" but you notice when you press the volume keys it's supposed to show ringtone volume not music volume from app..have to force close says minimize it

Being g able to change frequency is also good because I do this with earphones and too high a frequency would hurt my ears. Love it. Awesome!!! I have always wanted to learn Morse code, just for fun. With this app I had learned the enter alphabet in < 3 hours! Awesome free Morse trainer Overall great app, especially since it's free. Minor issues like popping audio and lag between screen press and sound on Droid razr maxx. Because of lag, my speed actually increases when I turn the sound off. When moving from letters to words, I thought the app was too picky about timing, but I've since figured out my cadence was inconsistent from one letter to the next. Six stars if you can do receiver training with words.
