Best moon app!! I had this on another phone and missed it when I got my new one. Best moon app out!!!! I love the way it tells you about the full moon names.

Works It works nicely, and it does not require any smelly permissions, but I really do not care to know by what "names" they call the moon in North America, nor how these names originated from the natives, while I would care about more astronomical information, such as when the moon rises and when it sets, the effective brightness of the moon as a percentage, etc.

Southern hemisphere Living in Australia this is great until tonight's full moon. We're in the middle of winter and the app is saying it's a summer moon. Tried changing it to northern to see and gaps location and no different. Would like to have the southern hemisphere working too.

why do we have to rate an app with 1 star.... because we cant rate with a ZERO star... on a xoom this isnt even recognised as being a widget. unless you call linking to the pro version for £0.66 or 99cent is this even considered an app its not even a trail version.... time wasted. uninstalled and given a ZERO

Best I tried a bunch and this is the best of its kind. Pros: good graphics,resizable and can hide label. Con: new moon phase lasts way longer than other phases, others showed at least a sliver of moon close to new moon

Prefer calendar view The widget displays the moon phase text only in portrait mode on Honeycomb OS. Still a nice widget to use in landscape mode once you know which side of the moon is lit in the waxing and waning phases. As for the app, an option to switch between calendar and list views would be great.
