Locale Mobile Data Plugin (v. 2.1) Разработано SuttCo Software |
What's Included?
- A condition that monitors mobile data use
- A setting that turns mobile data on and off (Note: Compatible with Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Gingerbread, and Honeycomb ONLY)
What can you do with them?
- Use the setting by itself to turn mobile data off for certain conditions
- Use the condition by itself to trigger situations when your data use exceeds a certain threshold
- Pair them together and you can shut off mobile data when you approach your cell plan's limits
NOTE(S):
- For Android 1.0 - 2.2, we DISABLE the data radio
- For Android 2.3 - 3.0 we BLOCK the data traffic by changing the network you're trying to use
- For Android 4.0+, Google does not allow us to modify your data settings. Sorry!
- Your mobile data widget may not indicate that data is on/off. Don't worry! It's possible they aren't checking the same property as us... there are several ways to control mobile data.
- If you use another mobile data app to turn mobile data on/off, you may not be able to use this plugin. There are several ways to control mobile data and they may not be using the same method as we are.

[2012-05-10] A Google User: Oops, I have Gingerbread on my Phone So, I bought "Locale Mobile Data Plugin" and then realized I had already upgraded my phone to Gingerbread. I don't need a refund (it's my own fault), but I am curious if you know if Google will make any changes to the OS to allow you to control the mobile data again. If there's any possibility, I'll keep the plugin, otherwise, I should probably just uninstall it. Thanks for your help, and keep up the good work. |

[2012-03-07] A Google User: Never worked It always crashes or makes Locale not reponding on Android 2.3 And also why modify data settings on Android 4.0? All switcher widgets just uses "Data enabled" option to switch mobile data ON or OFF. |

[2012-01-23] A Google User: Doesn't work on Nexus One This application didn't work on a Nexus One. It didn't handle setting the data on/off between default settings and override settings. It also had issues with phones that contain multiple APN's. I noticed that when changing situations it would select the incorrect APN to resume data with. |

[2011-02-22] A Google User: Works Fine on Evo This review replaces my earlier one that said it didn't work on an Evo. That is not true, after working with the developer I figured out that it does work you just have to be careful to have a situation that turns the data back on when the situation that turns it off ends. Thats not an issue with the program, just the way locale works, for every action that alters a behavior of the phone you have to have one that puts it back. |
