Light Flow allows you to take control of your notification LED or trackball colors and makes them successively flash one color after another.

It also allows you to set repeating sounds on vibration patterns for you notifications. You can also set a "sleep time" or "on charge" where the lights and/or sounds and vibrations will not be heard or seen.

It works on non-rooted phones and also allows the colors to flash in succession, so if you have a new SMS and a missed call it can alternate between the two colors. You can also set which notification type has the highest priority and let it flash in just that one color.

There's different profiles for when your phone is charging and when it is running on battery. If you find it eats your battery too much for your liking then you can change settings to conserve the battery use.

Known issues/Limitations

Not all phones support all colors.
For example: HTC desire supports 5 colors (compatability mode required)
HTC Desire HD, Thunderbolt support 3 colors (compatability mode required)

Some phones can only light up the notification while the screen is off.

Some phones cannot have their notification light always on

Some phones cannot have their notification blink and it will always be on

Note that it will take over control of your notifications and you will therefore only get notifications for categories that the app allows.

Finally, the app cannot be installed onto the SD card due to using alarm triggers and therefore android prevents moving the app.

I dowloaded this app a few months ago when I got a BRAND NEW DroidX..within the Last few days I have lost the vibration notifacition feature of this app. I contcted their tech support and was told suggestions to fix nothing worked and have heard nothing back from them. I even removed the app only to find that my phone is not responding to vibrating. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a brilliant app This app offers so much choice for my N1 trackball notification. Being able to cycle through the colors of all my outstanding notification is excellent without even needing to turn the phone on.

Easily work the dollar This is the best app of this type that I have found so far. It is much more stable and predictable than Blink, so far. It's very easy to set up. For $1 it's a great buy, but I'd be willing to spend a little more if the alternating of multiple notifications was a little smoother. It works, but the blinks aren't a nice, smooth, alternating pattern. They alternate, just sporadically.

works great on Moto Atrix I have not tested all the colors yet - I love the setting for when the phone is charging...set to flash the LED for 1 minute upon being plugged in, then turn it off until the phone reaches xx%. There is lots of options for all other types of notifications and you have the options of using the LED, sound, and/or vibration.
