LibraryThingScanner (v. 1.4) Разработано Owlfish |
Add books to LibraryThing quickly using your phone camera.
LibraryThingScanner uses the Barcode Scanner app to read the ISBN barcode from a book. Your web browser then opens at the LibraryThing add book page.
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Use LibraryThing? Got an Android phone? Sure, an integrated LibraryThing mobile app experience might be better, but this app goes a long way toward making it easier to catalogue and share your books. |

[2012-12-09] A Google User: Google Nexus 7 Works with the LearnPad scanner not the recommended Zing scanner. |
[2012-11-20] A Google User: Works less than half the time This app is kind of useless--the scanner almost never focuses on the barcode (unlike the barcode scanner built into Goodreads). When it does scan, the app isn't well integrated with Librarything anyway. |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Pointless The web interface is still too clunky on mobile. Avoiding punching in an ISBN doesn't make it much easier. |
[2012-04-11] A Google User: Great scanning. can't connect to LT Like another person said. Signing in on librarything doesn't happen. It won't actually allow an LG spectrum to add. Scanning though.....that part works great |
[2012-03-16] A Google User: Great. All you have to do is sign into your account, scan in the book, and away you go. :-) |
[2012-02-02] A Google User: Isn't integrated to library thing and takes too much time to add books |
[2012-01-10] A Google User: Great tool Works well on Galaxy Tab. Handy assistant in libraries and bookshops. |
[2012-01-10] A Google User: Works great I've had a librarything account for years but never catalogued all my books because it was too cumbersome. This makes it much easier. Works fine with my phone. |
[2012-01-01] A Google User: It works! Does exactly what it says on the tin. Read the instructions! Provides a simple interface to the Librarything web UI. Saved me a lot of time and effort. Only gripe is that the camera focus sometimes struggles, but moving the phone up and down a bit usually solves it. (Galaxy Tab P1000). |
[2011-12-18] A Google User: Works Fine I just used this application to add a few books to my library and it worked exactly as advertised. |
[2011-11-15] A Google User: Cant Add Great that it finds the book, but when theres no way to confirm the entry, kind of pointless, no? |
[2011-09-13] A Google User: It could be GREAT if only problem's solved Only problem: It finds books and shows all info on screen, as long as your browser (which is auto-opened by the app) is NOT on TheLibraryThing webpage. Now (and this is very frustrating), with all the book's information with cover and everything on your screen, if you tap on "Add to my library", you are taken to a blank page, instead to the log-in page, and from there to your library with the new book already added. If you ARE on TLT webpage, it just goes to "search", which doesn't even work well. |

[2011-08-01] A Google User: Does not find many of my books. I don't see the point.uninstalling... |

[2011-04-10] A Google User: Causes the focus on my camera to go insane, and does not read bar codes, whereas barcodescanner works fine on the same codes, used multiplebook totest |

[2011-01-19] A Google User: No point to this. Just use the custom url feature in your barcode scanner. |

[2010-11-03] A Google User: Works great. Exiting the browser after adding a book takes you back to scan another book. |

[2010-10-27] A Google User: Good idea, I've been looking for a app like this, but the interface needs work to be useful. Doesn't log in, automatically execute or return to app |

[2010-09-17] shelbing: Nevermind. I got it to work. If you don't find the book on the first source, try another one. BTW, NOT self-explanitory, imo. Has issues. |
[2010-09-12] A Google User: Doesn't seem to work on older books, but so far none if the other bar code readers I've tried do either. Works great on newer books. |
