This app will let you disable the trackball, top & bottom LEDs. This will help if you use your phone as a night clock.

* Flickering/notification issues? Read intro! *

- HTC EVO Shift
- LG Shine Plus
- Samsung Vibrant
- Motorola Droid 2.

*ALERT: The Samsung Nexus S will NEVER be supported. Not because I don't want to, but because it is not possible, I own one and I have tried and tried. Samsung (or Google) have decided that the bottom LEDs will always be on as long as the display is on, powered at the same time. Obviously breaking a few APIs as well as the ability to turn those LEDs off based on the light-sensor.*

It works but why all the permissions? Hi, I am really glad to find this app because it sucks reading items or watching movies in the dark with those bright lights shining (HTC Incredible). However, I am concerned why the app needs access to the internet and my phone calls. Seems a bit overkill for something that just disables the lights. Not to mention it wants full access to /bin/sh as root - meaning they could run remote root-privileged commands on your phone if they wanted. eek!

Works on Evo stock rooted 2.2 to turn off leds. But, be certain to de-select turn off trackball in settings or reboot will be needed.
