Jelly Bean Keyboard - The keyboard from Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

This is the keyboard from Android 4.1 (codename Jelly Bean). I back ported it to work with all android deivces 1.6 and up. Everything is working except Speech Recognition will require android 2.2 or higher.

This essentially the same Jelly Bean Keyboard you will find in Android 4.1 but I made a few minor adjustments to it to make it work a little better.

It's even better than the original Jelly Bean keyboard:

- Learns from typing history, the more you type with this keyboard, the predictions will get faster and smarter!

- Compatible with most android devices

- Features that are incompatible with older phones were removed to make the keyboard faster

Resets to stock on reboot/# pad is horrible Is there any way for keyboard to stay set as default upon rebooting phone? It keeps resetting default back to stock keyboard. Also the # pad (the one with letters and #'s like a phone keypad) is absolutely horrible. Letters and #'s arw not contained in the squares. Looks extremely unprofessional. Not sure how to fix this.

Almost but not quite there! A true keyboard replacement should be able to run when pushed to system/app (ROM) folder. I understand limiting that on free version, but this is the paid version. Fix that and it's perfect. If not I want refund that the store is showing as an option even though it's been less than the 15 minute cutoff.

However it is buggy, and the themes are average. Can't understand how a keyboard called JB doesn't actually have the JB theme. My rating is average.

Great concept, choppy execution. Get TouchPal instead. Love both Smart Keyboard and Swiftkey. For me this combines the best of both of those, being T9 and word prediction.. But the keyboard seems to have quality issues.. For instance, word prediction isn't very good, and it doesn't seem to learn based on normal typing. Also in t9, one of the word options that generates when typing is sure gibberish. That just does up wasting an option. Last thing, is that it doesn't learn from typing at all... Seriously, try TouchPal instead. it's the best all in one keyboard.

Least frustrating of all keyboards on Droid Charge I had this developer's previous ICS keyboard in a free version and loved it. I decided to get the Jelly Bean version. I trusted the developer so much from previous experience that I decided to purchase the PRO version in order to remove ads and the internet access that ads require. I am very, very impressed with this version 1.0, and I am sure it will only get better as the versions get newer. I have tried nearly every keyboard out there, and this one is far superior.

Frustrated and Disappointed For awhile the mic worked flawlessly, and now it just won't at all. Every time I press the mic button, my Google Voice won't show up. I know it isn't my phone cause my mic button on other keyboards work 100% of the time. Another bug is when I type fast and use the Caps, it sometimes quickly goes back to lower case before I can make certain letters capital. Also some letters/symbols in landscape and portrait mode hang off from the keyboard no matter how much I try to fix the layout or the letter size. This is really bugging me and I've been complaining for a LONG time, ESPECIALLY about the mic. I have gotten NO response so far and it's frustrating me. Also for future updates, can you guys add a clipboard button? On the Samsung Galaxy S3 keyboard it has that where you can copy and paste all of the past text you've copied (20 text max) and it is VERY convenient. A lot more people would wanna buy the Jelly Bean Keyboard if you guys added that feature. I love the Jelly Bean Keyboard because of it's customization options, T9, and more. BUT PLEASE FIX THE BUGS ALREADY!!!!!! I would love to be able to use this keyboard in ALL happiness once again!

No boring themes because you make your themes. Allows for easy word additions right from the prediction area. UPDATE :lately the keyboard will input words that is not even close to what I'm typing. Then add in extra words.

However, it's predictive texting is only about 70 perecent as accurate as the keyboard Titans (Smart Keyboard, Swiftkey,ect). It has fine options to customize. But it needs work.

would be the best if it put a space after punctuat Great, great, great, with one caveat; it doesn't put a space after punctuation! This adds an extra key stroke to just about everything. Every disappointing considering that everything else about this keyboard is great. It is one of the few that does a great job of adding the missing space to run on words. It doesn't lag bad. It is compatible with many skins. It has the option of predicting even in apps that do not normally have prediction in other keyboards.

Best keyboard I've had I have swiftkey and this keyboard and this is the one I prefer to use. I knocked one star off for two reasons, one if you any type of clear ram feature on your phone then it will shut this app and set your stock keyboard as primary again, two the keyboard can be skinned but the popups like the punctuation buttons always have the same skin I would like that to match my keyboard :( the feature to edit the smiley faces would be nice too! Still my favorite keyboard

best "stock" jellybean keyboard I've used I've used swiftkey 3 but hated the number layouts and the microphone button never quite showed up at the right times. I tried another jellybean keyboard and the mic didn't show up with that either and auto correct wasn't working right. The GO me boards just never did it for me. This is a great solution for an unrooted jellybean purist.
