This application reveals all iridium flares and satelittes (including international space station and amateur radio satellites) passing by at your location.
An auto-adjusting compass pointing in the direction of the satellite or flare helps you tracing the object.
Notifications can be enabled to warn you whenever a satellite of interest passes by.

The actual data is taken from www.heavens-above.com. They did a great job so check out their website too.
This is NOT the official www.heavens-above.com Android application although the name may suggest this.

This version is the same as the free version but without the advertisements.

Heavens Above Great App, simple to use and the display for each event is so clear that you are almost guaranteed to view each satellite pass - now they just need to design an app to remove cloud cover...

Incompatible with ROM? Fix! Try downloading the Eris Market Fix from the market. Working on ICS Galaxy S1. This app is unsurpassed in functionality & accuracy. I would, however, like a daylight savings time option.

Kon. Your build.prop needs editing. It's your ROM at fault, not the market or HA devs. Search XDA for fix. Excellent app, improving all the time.

Excellent application. Widget size is poor tho. Works without problem on Asus Transformer under 3.2. I would wish for a better widget. 1. give heading info E, NNE, W etc as well as degrees 2. fix the size problem. It occupies a 4x1 space, but is only 2x1 in useful size. Annoying coz wastes screen space. But recommended. Never miss a flare or ISS again!

Not in market after HTC Desire 2.3 upgrade I 've lost this valuable app after update to the official 2.3 Gingerbread release for HTC Desire. Got an error "This app is incompatible with your BASE HTC HTC Desire", although i bought it, and had it up and running on 2.2 Froyo.

Lots of info in easy interface both as app and widget. Just reinstalled after phone crashed. Any chance of unlocking it so it can be backed up?

compatibility change I own an SGS2 and had this app paid for and installed on my phone for about a month.All working great -5 star stuff.I have recently flashed a custom rom. and have now noticed that I cannot access the apps widget and that the app is now incompatible with the SGS2 on the market so I cannot reinstall it, even though it is marked as purchased. The funny thing is the app works fine from the app drawer but I really like having the widget.

Sometimes a problem connecting Like tonight, the Heavens Above website shows a 'Server Too Busy' so the App seems to lock in a loop trying to get data. better if it can be knocked out of that loop by pressing the back button so I can see the data I already have. This is happening a bit too often :(
