GPS Doctor is a troubleshooting/diagnostic program for GPS systems in Android devices. If your phone is taking longer than it should to get a satellite fix, can't get a fix at all, or is giving you GPS errors, GPS Doctor should be able to help. To use, simply run the "Quick Fix" option (or the manual options) before attempting to use Google Maps (or any other GPS software). Your fixes should come faster and be more accurate.

GPS Doctor works by clearing stale cached values that can mislead your GPS chip as it searches for your location, then injecting the correct values into the chip using data downloaded from NTP and XTRA servers.

The "Quick Fix" option is available to automatically diagnose and correct many common GPS issues. Manual fix options are also available, including: forcing XTRA injection, forcing time injection, and clearing aiding data (all, almanac, ephemeris, time, position, UTC, ionospheric, health, SV Dir, SV Steer, SA, RTI, and CellDBInfo).

This app has been tested an verified to work on the Galaxy S line of phones as well as many HTC and Motorola devices. It is generic enough that it should work on EVERY available phone now. GPS Doctor is constantly improving, so please provide feedback if you use this app on another device.

Excellent - Galaxy S2 in UK Having migrated from an HTC which always had superfast and accurate GPS I was horrified when I tried to use this feature on my new Galaxy S2 which was faster in every other way. It was truly taking 15-20 minutes to get a GPS fix! I installed this app and ran it once in automatic quick fix mode. GPS now finds an accurate fix in about 20 seconds. Thank you.

Didn't cure... "Searching For GPS" If your GPS is broken like mine and it reads "Searching For GPS" you may skip this app. It did not improve anything at all for me. It may be a great app I do not know. I only know my GPS still does not work. Nothing changed at all. To give 1 Star seems harsh... I doubt it could be a fix all for everyone.

Awesome! When my gps won't get a fix on my. Position, I launch this app in within about 5 to 20 seconds my gps locks in. The app somehow provides extra info need to lock in your position faster.

Unbelievable. My GPS essentially stopped working on my Captivate Glide after I installed ICS. I tried a million "fixes" - disabling the external LNA, updating time servers in /etc/gps.conf, switching to non-ssl mode for AGPS data... nothing worked. Weeks of frustration, and almost bought a new phone, because GPS is so important to me. My phone would see 10+ satellites, yet never lock, even after 15 minutes. I was hesitant to try this app, but am I ever glad I did. It really was just a matter of clearing out invalid/stale assist data! GPS coldstarts in less than 45 seconds, and warm starts in less than 5. Well done, sir, and thank you very much! :)

Admittedly this was the only one that I paid for (tried free trial versions of multiple others), but it actually worked! Works but is Anticlimactic I was having the same problems with my GPS other Razr owners. Incredibly long wait to initialize and loss of signal often enough that my workout tracking software was useless. This app fixed all of my problems after running the automatic quick fix just once. It only took a minute or so, it didn't produce a report showing all of the fixes, it doesn't even have shiny graphics. It just works. I want to give it 5 stars but people don't really read those reviews.

Amazing it worked in my Karnbonn A18 !! My Karbonn A18 (ICS) was taking long time to lock on GPS .... but after using this it is only taking 30 sec (maximum) to lock on GPS. It works like a magic on my Karbonn A18.

I bought the A5 mainly for SatNav and portable travel media and it would not locate/fix on any satellites until I had purchased your wonderful GPS Doctor. Razr Maxx Amazing! After the ICS update GPS was quite slow. After applying the quick fix I now get location fixes in seconds instead of sometimes minutes. Fixes slowed a little after the first time i ran it. 3 days later I reapplied and it's faster than ever. GPS fix in google maps is almost instant now.

Wow, IT WORKS! My gps worked extremely well on my Razr Maxx before I loaded ICS. After that it was painfully slow. Took forever, sometimes 10+ minutes! So I found this app when I was goggling around for solutions and ran it and the GPS is good as new, maybe even better! All I had to do was the automatic fix. Its a good thing as I have no idea how to use the options in the manual mode and have no idea what they even mean. Thanks for solving this agonizing problem folks. 3 other family members are dealing with this same issue on the same phone after ICS. They'll all be downloading it in the morning!

This is a great little application A few months ago the GPS on my Galaxy S stopped working consistently. Then it completely stopped working. This little app fixed the problem in a couple of minutes. Well worth the $2!
