This app contains a set of tiny tools: a flashlight, a unit converter, a timer, a stopwatch, a compass a bubble level, a calculator, a magnifying glass (Android 2.2+ required), a mirror (Android 2.3+ and front camera required) and a ruler.

Each tool does what it is supposed to do. There's no space for special effects like 3D compass, talking level, psychedelic flashlight etc: the goal is to have a lightweight, fast and easy to use set of tools, one "tap" away from your home screen.
This app is half the size of a common "standalone tool" like a compass, a flashlight or a magnifying glass. This way you'll save a lot of disk space. You'll save network consumption too, not only for the first download but for every update too.
It doesn't require network access, the permission to write on your flash memory or the permission to read your contacts.

Suggestions, like new features to implement, new tools etc. are welcome. If you want to contribute a translation, please let us know by sending us an email ;)

If you find a bug, please contact us using the "Report a bug" main menu function.
Note: if you write a comment on the Android Market without sending us an email, it's difficult for us to fix the problem, because usually we need some information (such as smartphone type and version, a way to replicate the problem, etc.).


Note:
- Depending on the hardware capabilities of your device, some tools may not be shown
- The permission to use the camera is required in order to turn on the camera flash LED. Some devices (for instance the Google Nexus S) don't light the flash LED if the camera is not running. If you check the most popular flashlight apps, you'll find out that they all require this permission. Swiss Army Knife doesn't shoot any photos, doesn't save multimedia info onto the flash card and doesn't send anything via the internet: it doesn't require network permissions at all.

GPS widget to warn about speed cameras while keeping your phone in your pocket.

Please read this Q&A below before you start using this application!

Question: What makes this application special?
Answer:   It can be placed on your home screen and runs in the background, so there is no interaction needed. Once started up (see: installation & starting instructions or video) needs no maintenance and you can forget about it. Just keep your phone in your pocket, and let it warn you with acoustic and vibrating alerts when heading towards speed traps over speed limit.

Question: how to install and start?
Answer: "SpeedCamAlert" is a widget(!) application.
Download and install the application first. Than hold your finger on an empty spot on the home screen until "Add to Home screen" dialog appears. Choose "Widgets". There you should see "SpeedCamAlert" in the list. Tap on it and it is going to start the widget on the spot where you started the procedure. Do not expect to "open" after download!

Question: Will drain the battery?
Answer: No, or at least tries not to do so. There is a battery saving algorithm implemented to detect stationary situations which is about 85% of a normal person's time.

Question: Can it be used together with other sw?
Answer: Yes! Since it runs in the background, it is compatible with all applications running in the foreground, like navigation or speed monitoring etc. For example you can use it with with your own navigation sw or Google Maps Navigation. The warnings will have their effect!

Question: What countries are covered?
Answer: Offline database covers the following countries:

Question: can the database be updated?
Answer: Yes! Just download from the market the application updates. Every update has fresh/updated speed camera db.

Question: Is the this application free?
Answer: There is a trial period of 3+ days while you have the full featured application available. Counting starts at the first start-up. When the trial period is over, the warning features will be locked. For unlocking just tap on "Unlock" button in the settings window.

'IPv6 and More' is an essential, ad-free app for network engineers, system administrators and computer geeks interested in IPv6, IPv4 and transition mechanisms from v4 to v6. Even if your device and carrier do not provide a native IPv6 address yet, you can still perform many IPv6 functions (like ping, traceroute, whois, DNS lookups) using a provider like Hurricane Electric. The app also includes all the standard IP tools and tcp/udp/http/https testing. Some important features are:

1) Ping and Traceroute (locally sourced from the device as well as sourced from many routers around the globe in case of IPv6) with many configurable options.

2) Recursive whois lookups for IPv6, IPv4 addresses and domains with configurable whois lookup depth and base whois server.

3) DNS lookups (dig) for many type of DNS records including AAAA (IPv6), A, PTR, SOA, NS, CNAME etc.

4) Connectivity testing for udp, tcp, http and https protocols. Response header inspection for http and https.

5) Device audit and explanation of  the IPv6 and IPv4 addresses discovered.

6) Fully configurable tools including globally located source routers for ping and traceroute, TTL, count, packet size, maximum hops, DNS server, DNS query type, whois server, whois depth etc.

7) Fully functional on install with no configuration required using default values. Options to reset values to default.

8) Remembers last 20 user supplied entries to reduce typing.

9) Single tap on the text box copies results to clipboard. Long-press clears display.

10) IPv6 news from around the world. Even a jobs feed!

11) Generates Unique Local IPv6 address ranges (private ranges) by implementing the algorithm specified in RFC 4193.

As IPv6 adoption matures and its penetration in the Android stack as well as at ISP's increases, more features will be implemented in the app.

Pool Capacity is a simple application to calculate your pool's water capacity. Pool measurements can be entered in feet or meters. All pool shapes are supported. Results are shown in US Gallons, Imp Gallons, Cubic Meters, and Liters.


For square, rectangle, oval, and round pools enter the exact width and length. For irregular pool shapes, enter the average width and length by taking a measurement at the widest point and the narrowest point and adding those two numbers together. Then divide the result by 2 to get an average.


For pool depth, enter the depth of the shallow end and the deep end. If the pool is flat, enter the same number for the deep end and shallow end.
