Rocklogger is a geological tool for measuring the orientation of rock outcrops. It uses the phone's compass and orientation sensors to measure dip & dip direction, or dip & strike, in a single click.
GPS and magnetic field information can also be saved, along with details on the rock plane & type.

Key features:
-Log dip & strike or dip & dip direction by placing the phone on the rock/plane in any orientation (using the rotating symbol and quick help features as guides)
-Plot logs on a map, with correct dip/strike symbols
-Plot poles or planes from logs on a stereonet, and interpret by touching the plot to find trends and intersections (paid only)
-Log the ambient magnetic field
-Launch the camera to take photos while logging. Notes and GPS data are saved to the log file. Photos are stored with the log file, and are automatically attached when you send a log via email from the browser screen

The log is saved to a .csv file, which can be sent to Excel / Mapinfo / etc for interpreting. Paid versions can also export KML files for use in Google Earth (desktop version).

Taking the strike and dip of outcrops with a compass / declinometer usually takes a few minutes per rock. With Rocklogger, many measurements of an outcrop can be taken in seconds (in any orientation). It also works upside-down, eg for logging overhang in a mine.

The evaluation version is limited to saving 3 records per 3 minutes, and has the stereonet plotter disabled. Rocklogger Unlocker is available for purchase to disable the evaluation version restrictions.

Zhuyin-Cangjie IME is a small but convenient input method. But recently it doesn't update anymore. There are still many problems or improvements which can be fix. So I downloaded the source and enhanced it. And trying to add the hardware keyboard support.

Features (extends from Zhuyin-Cangjie IME)
- Zhuyin, Cangjie, Simplified Cangjie.
- Candidate words and long-press key. (Emotions, Punctuations, URL domains)
- Key sound and vibrate.
- Long press "中文" or "英文" to change to other IME.

Enhancement
- Lower-case English soft keyboard now can long press to input upper-case.
- More Chinese punctuations added (Enumeration comma, book title marks, double quotation marks, etc) and exchange the position of the comma and the full stop.
- Zhuyin/Cangjie IME hardware keyboard support. (Standard PC layout. Optimized for Motorola Milestone/Droid series)
- If default tone doesn't exist a word, the following tone will be used.
- Candidate selection supports finger gesture to change page.

- This application uses GPS, you must be outside and have a clear view of the sky for it to work properly
- Push the Start button to start the GPS
- Use the Info button to access top speed and 0-60 times
- Use GPS button to see number of satellites and accuracy
- Use the reset button to clear top speed and 0-60 times

Note: 0-60 times are automatically calculated based on when you start moving. Only the most recent time is kept.  To get an accurate time you must be completely stopped (digital read out of 0 showing on the dial, this will reset the timer).

This application uses GPS to determine your speed.  The accuracy of this method is dependent on many factors including the following: Number of satellites locked, accuracy of your GPS lock, and your phone's hardware.

The Android API Browser provides a convenient UI for exploring the Android APIs across versions. The Android Open Source Project publishes an XML specification of the API each time they release a new version. I've taken the specifications for each API available and built a single database for use with this application.

To use this application you will need to download the API database. The database is ~8MB and can be stored on either your internal or external storage. You will be prompted to download the database and notified when updates are available. The current database covers android-1 through android-14 (4.0).

This application was developed in Ruby through the Ruboto project (JRuby on Android). For more information on Ruboto visit ruboto.org.
