PLEASE READ:
In order for this to work, you need to have this same application installed on the target device, because the application understands the request that is embedded in the SMS message. It works by sending an SMS message to the target phone, so if this application is not installed on the target phone, then all they will get is a text message.

You can view where the android phone device is on a map display or on the live camera view, along with your heading, target bearing and distance information.

PLEASE NOTE:
This is not designed to be a secret location tracking service!! You will know when someone is wanting to know your location because an SMS message will be sent/received.

One SMS message is sent from your phone, and one SMS message received(with the location) from their phone. The target phone(with the same application installed) needs to be configured with a matching 'secret phrase' that is set up in the settings menu.

Great for finding friends and family including their bearing and distance from your location(e.g if at a park, concert etc). Works best when you can get a GPS fix(i.e normal conditions and not in a tunnel etc). Its especially helpful in natural disasters(such as earthquakes) when you need to know where someone is.

If you are requesting their current location, the GPS initialization process will continue until a GPS position fix is obtained or the user presses the ‘Stop GPS init’ softkey button. Once their GPS location is determined, their GPS resources are freed up.

You can also configure various settings including to have a dialog show when someone wants to know where you are. By default, location requests will be captured silently (your phone volume is turned silent when the text message is received with the location request and then re-enabled after the text message is processed).

A bearing to the target can be displayed and the compass arrow goes green when you are facing in the direction(within a few degrees) of the target. You can also switch to the camera view to see the target(as long as you have a location to calculate a bearing from your position to the target position)

You can disable the whole service(ignores all requests for locations from outside parties) by hitting the ‘stop service’ button in the settings menu.

Be sure to update to the latest version as this will include the latest bug fixes and enhancements.

'IPv6 and More' is an essential, ad-free app for network engineers, system administrators and computer geeks interested in IPv6, IPv4 and transition mechanisms from v4 to v6. Even if your device and carrier do not provide a native IPv6 address yet, you can still perform many IPv6 functions (like ping, traceroute, whois, DNS lookups) using a provider like Hurricane Electric. The app also includes all the standard IP tools and tcp/udp/http/https testing. Some important features are:

1) Ping and Traceroute (locally sourced from the device as well as sourced from many routers around the globe in case of IPv6) with many configurable options.

2) Recursive whois lookups for IPv6, IPv4 addresses and domains with configurable whois lookup depth and base whois server.

3) DNS lookups (dig) for many type of DNS records including AAAA (IPv6), A, PTR, SOA, NS, CNAME etc.

4) Connectivity testing for udp, tcp, http and https protocols. Response header inspection for http and https.

5) Device audit and explanation of  the IPv6 and IPv4 addresses discovered.

6) Fully configurable tools including globally located source routers for ping and traceroute, TTL, count, packet size, maximum hops, DNS server, DNS query type, whois server, whois depth etc.

7) Fully functional on install with no configuration required using default values. Options to reset values to default.

8) Remembers last 20 user supplied entries to reduce typing.

9) Single tap on the text box copies results to clipboard. Long-press clears display.

10) IPv6 news from around the world. Even a jobs feed!

11) Generates Unique Local IPv6 address ranges (private ranges) by implementing the algorithm specified in RFC 4193.

As IPv6 adoption matures and its penetration in the Android stack as well as at ISP's increases, more features will be implemented in the app.
