Reading is Fundamental Those complaining about the app accessing the camera are simply dumb. Did they even read the update description? The app now supports LED flash. I lose hope in humanity everyday bc of these MORONS.

AWESOME AND AD FREE ! Do not listen to the babies here whining about this app. It's a free app that works exceptionally well. If the babies crying about a free app not working the way they wanted, they then should spend some of their energy they use crying about not getting everything for free and use it to make a better app!..... Just my two cents...... And kudos to the developers of this app, I thank you for your hard work and a great ad free app!

Tiny app Simple & straight forward, it's a flashlight, not a disco light, strobe light or anything other than a basic flashlight (although you can change the screen color) & it's about 1/10th the size of any other so-called flashlight & their useless crap they contain. Highly recommended.

Excellent Interface and functions - simple! Works on my Galaxy 2 with Android 4.03 (Ice Cream Sandwich) - fast, easy use! Easy to install. It can swap the light between the LED and screen - just double touch of the screen and is very useful for being able to have different light levels. You have a choice icons, too. I looked at lots of other flashlights - it is amazing how many have permission to connect to internet, track your location and even get your phone id and number! This last one is shown as the "most popular" on google play's list - I wouldn't touch it and amazed it is allowed to be listed!

Near perfect! I tell everyone about this app!9 Works great on galaxy nexus ICS! Bright LED and nice screen light with color choice. I love apps without ads and crazy permissions, nice job! 5 stars if updated to have a strobe light and Morse code setting for the LED, but that's just my idea of the perfect flashlight app.

Yes, Permissions! It requires the ability to see/take images/video with either camera at ANY time , even if you're not using it.. No, thanks...kinda confused by the commenter who didn't see that permission on there. Looked in the wrong place, maybe? From the Permissions tab (quote): HARDWARE CONTROLS TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS Allows the app to take pictures and videos with the camera. This allows the app at any time to collect images the camera is seeing.

Excellent! This is just what I searched for! It does not need suspicious permissions and works like a charm with either using the display or the integrated LED as a flashlight. I wish more software in the store was as straightforward as this.

Works great Works perfectly on my phone. And no suspicious permissions. To those who are whining about the camera control permission, there's no internet permission. The worst this thing can do is take some random pictures and leave them on your phone. It has no way of sending them anywhere. The camera control permission is most likely only so it can use the camera flash as a light source. This is the only flashlight app I've found that doesn't have both the camera control and internet permissions (not to mention GPS location and a bunch of other stuff a flashlight doesn't need). To those complaining that it only shows up as a circle, swipe your finger toward the top of your screen and the light will fill the screen instead.
