This app enhances your GPS by using a more accurate time estimation from a NTP server near you. Select one from the list, or add your own.

If the app doesn't work, please use "root checker" to check if you are correctly rooted and busybox is installed before you give a bad rating.

Doesn't work with Cyanogenmod 10.1 Hit the Go button and nothing happens at all. I'm definitely rooted. Superuser asks for permission for FasterFix to run and I grant permission but no joy.

Works great. Thanks I had problems getting a GPS lock on my Galaxy S2. After changing the download location, it works fine. Upon first start I had a black screen, too, caused by not having Busybox installed. After installation, the app worked perfectly.

Wow! I have never rooted my phone before, but his was definitely worth it! Just recently upgraded to JB on my Galaxy Note i717 and it messed up my GPS. It was so frustrating trying to figure out what was wrong. I literally tried everything even on tech support with AT&T and Samsung for 2 hours. Tried all of the "GPS fix" apps to no avail. Then I finally rooted my phone put this on it and then it worked!! So happy! Thank you oh so much!

Must have for frequent gmap users After a 4.2.2 upgrade I tried but couldn't save the edited gps.conf file on a rooted desire. Previously I used systemrescuecd to have nailed it but a PC was needed. Maybe I also need to change the folder permissions but oh well. This time as soon as I install and configure FasterFix and reboot, my location was found almost instantly. Thanks Bernard for this nice app.

Who knew!!! My HTD Desire HD on Virtuous Unity's GPS has ceased to function a few days ago. It was a lot of hassle for me to navigate with just a map and no little GPS dot telling me where I am and which direction I'm facing. I spent some time tonight trying to fix this thing. At first I thought I could just wipe the GPS cache info to re-initialize, after doing that I went outside. GPS essential & GPS Status gradually finds satellites up to 4 of them, but unable to produce a coordinate after 10mins. I was able to pull the trigger on GPS doctor because it's cheap and seems to fix more probs. I was extremely skeptical bout this app. I meant, how would a time server affect my GPS!? Stupid I was. After running the app with internet connection, my time was reset (I used to have set according to cellphone network) and right away GPS status locks onto 6 satellite in a hurry (less than 20 seconds) and a coordinate was produced. I was able to use my Mapswithme for offline navigation again thanks to the ingenuity of the author. Thanks again!
