There's a heated debate as to what electromagnetic field (EMF) level is considered safe, and you'll have to decide for yourself.

Simple fact: earth natural magnetic field is between 30 and 70 u Tesla (350 to 700 m Gauss).  1 u Tesla  = 10 m Gauss.

Is your home EMF hazards free?  You can buy a Gauss meter to measue the accurate value.  However, your smart phone can also be converted as a simple Gauss meter.

This applicaiton will sound the alarm once the abnormal EMF field is detected.  The screen color will also turn from health green to danger red.  So scan your home now...

Excellent free tool When my wife and I read that electromagnetic fields might cause cancer, we immediately became concerned about the electrical wire feeding our house that attaches right next to my 6 yo son's room. great..works fine! I have tested it around my laptop, led TV and certain other electrical/electronic apps and as soon as it is around the elec devices, the app is reading the measurements well. Only thing is how accurate are the readings compared to a realtime gaussmeter.

Odd field readings Got a letter 600 near clock radio. 90s near parts of a chair thats all metal so something is weird. 40s for open area readings. Top of tv gave high readings where u can feel the electrical buzz with your hands. Yes this app works great.

Great Whilst I haven't tried any other EMF detector Apps this one is surprisingly good, and free. It doesn't like my alarm clock bedside, good thing it is a safe distance away from my sleeping position! Well worth giving it a try!
