DroidMote Server (v. 2.9.6) Разработано Videomap |
Android to Android Wifi Remote Control Server.
** THIS APPLICATION REQUIRES ROOT **
* DROIDMOTE IS ONLY FOR SMART PEOPLE *
Control your Android device from the comfort of your couch.
This is the server part and must be installed on the Android device you want to control. Moreover, with DroidMote, you can use all the multitouch applications and games, even on devices that do not have the touch screen (e.g. a TV!).
The client is a free android application: "DroidMote Client".
ATTENTION: The uinput module is required. A lot of Android devices already have this module by default, but everyone can have it. Read the FAQ, before buying or putting a negative vote, or contact the developer to solve your problems. All negative reviews on this app come only from people who have not contacted the developer via email. DroidMote work very well also on MK802, you must only install the new firmware with uinput inside (read the FAQ). I cannot answer or help in the comments of Google Play.
BIG NEWS !!
You can also control your Linux machine with DroidMote Server for Linux (free).

And now DroidMote Server for Windows (free)

How does it work? Take a look to the video playlist:

DroidMote simulates real devices in the Android system, other software on the market are just a remote custom keyboard IME. Beware of imitations. DroidMote is the only one with two analog controls, mouse and accelerometer data as the third analog control. Games that support a real gamepad recognize DroidMote as a real device. If you don't have a router, no problem. You can establish a connection point to point between the two devices with the function Tethering / portable hotspot of your device. (you do not need bluetooth, the bluetooth is slow and cover small distances)

Android versions > 3.2:

Warning: If DroidMote Server doesn't work on your tablet is only because you don't have the uinput module loaded in the kernel (SOLVABLE). If you don't have this module, not only DroidMote Server doesn't work, but many others good programs and external devices. 96% of Android devices especially all those with a bluetooth module, have already by default this module, and there are no problems. Some Android devices don't have the uinput module by default, especially the ALLWINNER A10, but it is very easy to find it and load it. I have personally compiled and distributed via the xda forums some modules (uinput.ko) for the A10 ALLWINNER devices. Make sure you have this module or download and load it in your kernel with the command insmod before testing DroidMote Server. Some negative comments depend only by this. But if you have a good ROM DroidMote works wonderfully without any additional action.

[2012-10-19] Adam: Slap Me Silly I should have bought this sooner. Is it perfect? No. That's okay for now though because the functionality is great. Not a priority but some of the navigation icons could use some cleaning up and consistent themeing throughout all tabs. However, the gamepad parts color scheme is pretty nifty as is. The music Play/Pause only work for if music had been played previous to using DroidMote. As in, if I just rebooted my tablet, I can't immediately turn on music by pressing play. IF I hit play, then pause directly on the tablet THEN hitting play works. Bleh, that was a mess of words. Going back to appearance, if most of the buttons matched, or at least somewhat resembled, the Android Holo scheme it'd look really great. (1) A clean 2D blue and white start/stop button. (2) Second tab's navigation buttons with a light blue fill and white minimalistic icons inside. Just my thoughts - I don't doubt this app will soon one day get the 5 star rating from my end. |
[2012-10-19] sfex3best: Best remote app This app is pretty much perfect now. It's a must buy for every tablet and smartphone user. |
[2012-10-14] rayarn: Almost 5 License troubles at first. Suddenly started working. Ok app with big improvement potential. |
[2012-10-13] Carlos: Working perfectly fine on a Zero Devices z902 Great app. Bought it and in less than 1 minute I was already controlling my TV's new Android dongle with a tablet. Easy to set up and works fine. Great job dev! |
[2012-10-08] TomTom: Finally found a use for it |
[2012-10-03] the 10/4/2012 Nice, but mouse mode.. aargh! I like this in general, hence the 4 stars, but it drops a star because mouse mode very buggy - the mouse keeps going nuts and selecting random screens/bizarre scroll actions. Also drag/drop of icons doesn't work, as it seems to be unable to translate it from the client to the server (seems to handle the long press, but the subsequent move is ignored - or, worse, bugs out and starts randomly flipping launcher screens). |
[2012-10-02] Andy: Fantastic !! I installed this app on an Android smart tv player. (Allwinner A10). I use the client on my Samsung Galaxy S2 to control the android tv player on my network and it worked first time. Its stable and I was able to get rid of the mouse wire running across my living room floor. Love it... Well worth the 2 euro. and well done to the developer. Great App.!! |
[2012-09-27] sjuffe: NIce product This is a nice product. It does everything it needs to do and does it well. |
[2012-09-26] hulumanu: Does not work on any of my devices...... I am trying to control a G-Box Midnight tv box with both my TF300 and my Droid4. Overall this helps me do some basic mouse functions, but that is it. Multi-touch does not work on any of these devices. Trying to swipe between launcher windows and scrolling down lists (such as the list of apps on Google Play) is impossible. Most of the time I end up selecting items instead of getting into "scroll mode". It's easier with the remote that came with the Midnight. There is no manual to speak of - I had to search YouTube for any glimmer of help on how to use the App, and they are sparse. It is a good idea, but does not help in my situation. Getting multi-touch to work would probably make a world of difference....... |
[2012-09-13] Brash: MK802 running the server app Awesome! Yup that sums it up perfect. |
[2012-09-12] my-skrill: Works great!! Worked immediately with my MK802II. Not sure why anyone has issues with it. The developer is on XDA every day helping people with issues, so see him if you have any. That's where I found out about this awesome app! |
[2012-09-10] Ian: Needs work. Mostly works but the client constantly disconnects from the server so when I switch to the client I must reconnect again. No option to auto connect. Also on startup it regularly tells me it's not licensed and quits, despite me having bought it. From the look of it, this happens if it can't immediately connect to the internet? This makes the 'start on boot' option fail frequently. |
[2012-09-01] Inbar: kind of works kind of works on Nexus 7 and kind of works on MK802 with newest firmware. the option to switch modes in mouse doesn't work. switches between modes (mouse, media, game pad) too easily. ignores lock rotation by phone please fix |
[2012-08-30] Bethan: Fantastic for controlling my tablet while connected to my tv This works really well all the blue tooth ones I tried didn't work nearly as well and none had the two finger gestures that this does |
[2012-08-29] Peter: Great Remote control and gamepad Now my old dell is usefull again....it's part of audio system now and i control volume and songs remotedly from anywhere in the house |
[2012-08-28] Jordan: Great Dev is great!! |
[2012-08-22] Giel: All I need Working great on my MK802 and Transformer TF101. Been looking for this for a long time. For those people complaining it isn't working with the MK802: update your firmware, stock firmware does not work! |
[2012-08-22] Tatubias: WORKS ON THE CX-01!!!!! Excellent program. i have being testing in the CX-01 mini pc and works perfect. im very happy it realy does all that said in the page. it is worth every cent that cost. ;) im really really happy with it. i highly recommend it. to the people that has a mk802, read the unrructions please...... it is not a sotware issue. its a rom issue rhat can be fixed. also the solution is published. please read the faq. beforee becomimg ungruy |
[2012-08-22] Puppet: awesomesauce rocks my socks off |
[2012-08-21] Paul Francois: Not working The help options didn't helped me at all.mk802 users |
[2012-08-19] James: Keeps on blody 4closes, Plz sort then rate it better thx. I have a samsung I9000 |
[2012-08-18] chris: Took forever setup Got it to work yay now lost how set up via onlive. And other android games But so far its good kinda laggy hope add more stuff |
[2012-08-14] Simon: Really excellent for the MK802 I have installed this on my MK802. Works really well. Very sophisticated. I haven't tried the game pad yet but the other controllers work well. I think the mouse pad controller could benefit from another option to scroll through pages. An alternative method of scrolling like a fly wheel would enhance the client |
[2012-08-08] toney: Coby 7042, 8042, Momo8 This app works great on my 3 tablets. Highly recommend this app. |
[2012-08-08] Scott: Didn't work at first but it was a ROM issue... So I had to trouble shoot my tablet for 2 days before the issue was worked out. The app(zulu99) creator and a ROM creator(Vampirefo) went crazy out of their way to help me work out the issues. Finally I found it was the ROM that I had downloaded and put on my tablet(Coby MID-7042-4) that was prohibiting the app. Seems that a module(uinput.ko) is missing/not loaded by the ROM. Found that the ROM I was using did not like any modules I threw at it so switched up to Vampirefo's ROM and now all is good!! I need to work on one more issue with latency, the mouse seems to take a sec before it moves but after that it works great till I lift off and then try moving again. The server is up and running and I working perfectly. I will review the client on the clients listing but so far it seems to be working great on my Sprint SGS2, but still seeing that lag on the mouse. Thanks for a great app!!! |
[2012-08-06] bt: Not quite ready An OK attempt at a fantastic idea. Keyboard is very buggy and frustrating. Definitely not yet worthy of being a pay product yet. You are better off using a different keyboard option until this improves. |
[2012-08-02] Tobey: Perfect for my needs I simply wanted to connect a tablet to my HDTV via the mini-HDMI and control that tablet from another Android device (my cell phone). I've seen other apps that will do this, but only using bluetooth... This app is one-of-a-kind (since apps like Tablet Remote don't use wifi) innovation that is on the cutting-edge of software development in regards to what "The People" want... I'm beginning to see Bluetooth fade (due to it's limited distance) and wifi, whdi, dlna, vnc, rdp, etc., uprising. People want CONTROL over EVERYTHING digital, and they want it from ANYWHERE... This app fulfills that desire! |
[2012-07-26] Johan: Hard to make work Its not easy to setup and make work. I'll give it 2 stars since it does setup easily on my Transformer, but I still cant make it work on my MK802.. rather dissapointing. |
[2012-07-26] Steffen: Very Good But a little flaw. On occasional disconnects from inactivity some command is being executed on the server. In my case it's the backbutton command. This is annoying during movies, because playback stops on every disconnect ... other than that. Very useful! |
[2012-07-19] Rhythm: Uhhh The only reason you'd need to server on phone is if its docked somehow. LANDSCAPE on 960x540 hides connect address cause your button is hilarious big. |
[2012-07-16] Blu3boy: No mips support I love the app. But I can't use it on my new tablet cuz it has MIPS processor. Please update soon. |
[2012-07-14] plug.in: Work great |
[2012-07-14] Ripley: MK 802 Great for controlling the MK 802. If you have one, this app and the client app are essential! |
[2012-07-13] Sunny: App works great it works great with htc evo and mini pc mk802 |
[2012-06-29] tobe: Works well. One of a kind awesome app. Ui is not perfect and its not flawless but this is quite complex stuff and i got my setup to work faster than expected. |
[2012-06-13] michael: Great app! Easy to set up if you have a little tech knowledge. Works perfectly! The best thing to do is set your router to give your Droidmote server a static IP address so you don't have to change the client settings when you want to connect! |
[2012-06-09] leodfs: Amazing This one is a must have if you want to control your remote device. I mean you can control server device with client touch screen, how cool is that? For the lag and server unreachable complainers: do your homework!! |
[2012-06-05] G3: I just wasted $2.50 Nowhere in the description did it say that i need to it requires that you install another support app called busybox to make it work. Also, it takes more than the 15 minute return window to get to the point where you realize whether or not this will work with your particular setup (tablet and phone), so if you buy it and can't get it to work, don't expect a refund. |
[2012-06-03] Tobster: Update broke it FC on startup now.. TF201. |
[2012-05-27] Mitchel: Works great... except.... It took me forever, but I figured out how to control my Acer Iconia A500 with my Galaxy S2... on my own... -1 star for not having instructions within app OR a link to instructions on the internet. Everything seems to work great except that ALL file managers I have on my A500 (Root Explorer and Filemanager HD) only show a black screen and then shortly FC. This ONLY occurs when the Droidmote Server is running. (As soon as it is turned off, the file managers work again). This NEEDS to be fixed to receive 4stars from me. |
[2012-05-12] Alneez: Good app Very useful |
[2012-05-04] Danny: Amazing Brilliant app. My xoom plugged into hdmi on tv controlled via sgs2. Bit weird using phone but looking at tv. There is no competition to this I tried and they are all poor in comparison. |
[2012-04-22] Classick: Garbage. I bought this app. Worked for one night. Now I have tried it with four different phones and tablets and it keeps saying "Server is unreachable". |
[2012-04-12] Julian: Horrible latency DESPITE what everyone else says, latency is unusably bad for classic games (using HP Touchpad server and Xperia PLAY remote in Ad-Hoc or infrastructure WiFi). I play NES/SNES games at an expert level and this turns me into a total herp-a-derp, running into enemies and off cliffs thanks to horrible latency. Many simply aren't skilled enough for it to matter and modern games hide it with long animations and imprecise timing requirements, but it's far worse than I was expecting from the reviews that are dead-wrong. |
[2012-04-08] mike: awsome! i was searching all over for an app like this. work vary well and there's is nearly no lag over the wifi connection. the music controls are really nice. i use this app with my HDMI and my transformer prime connected to my old epic 4g. the slide out key board works as well. I'm righting this review with it. great dev. responded to my email under 24 hours . support his hard work. well worth my 2 dollars. HIGHLY recommended !!!! |
[2012-03-23] diigimatrix: By far the best. Recommended Best android to android remote. Saves taking extra hardware to friends. Thanks |
[2012-03-16] mmedenblik: Intuitive design, excellent support I was surprised that only a few applications for Android to Android remote control exist. But even when thousands of other apps like this one would exist, they would have a though job to beat this one. The design is great, and the app responds very good. Initially I had connectivity issues but that was over when I installed a different version of BusyBox. Since then, working without any issues and enjoying my Galaxy Tab even more (remotely). Final word, and quite important, the developer responds almost instantly to any support questions. |
[2012-03-16] James: Great stuff Works really well, some parts take some getting used to but its really helpful. Good app....a reason to root. |
[2012-03-14] Marks: The server is not reachable Impossibile effettuare il collegamento fra htc Wildfire (server con root) e Nexus s (client). |
[2012-03-06] Charles: Best ever I started using this when it was in beta, been using it ever since. I actually use this almost every day, either to play games or simply type, and yes, even watch Netflix and Crunchyroll with an actual remote. Are there a few problems? Sure. Are they enough for me to give this anything but a five star rating? No. Server runs on OG Asus Transformer and HTC Flyer, both rooted. Client runs on Flyer and LG G2X. |
[2012-03-04] anujahooja: So close! Been looking for something like this for ages. There's only one thing I ask - add two-finger scrolling!! You add that and it'll be the perfect phone-to-tablet app, hands down. Thanks so much for this! |
[2012-03-03] GJSmith3rd: Does Not Currently Work On MIPS Description and market access do not indicate that the Android server app does not work on MIPS devices. Allows purchase, installs and GUI loads but cannot function due to ARM specific compiled binaries. Otherwise very nice app. |
[2012-03-03] Josh: Schweet Great app should be standard |
[2012-02-18] Glenn: Love it I do love this app. I do need help though. I need to program button configuration, but not around a computer. Can someone help me because I want to use with game loft games on my tablet. Anyone have any ideas? |
[2012-02-14] Barysh: transformer makes it hard to root only after buying did i learn my transformer has been updated to not easily allow rooting, |
[2012-02-13] Eric: Do the same thing as the guy below me. WORKS PERFECT I LOVE IT. Had the same issue as the guy below me - running thors ICS on acer iconia a500 - it said "crc32 check failed" but then i force closed the app and cleared the data. works now! |
[2012-02-12] Edson: ICS Xoom OK!!! I am trying to use it in ICS Xoom but it doesn't work... Its appear crc32 check failed. Then I fix it with a force stop and clean data to works correct. Thanks! |
[2012-02-10] SchizoDuckie: Absolutely brilliant! I'm controlling my galaxy tab from the couch with my galaxy s2 or another galaxy tab, awesome! A Tablet on HDMI in the docking station becomes an ultimate homecinema/gamestation with this. Brilliant! |
[2012-02-08] Billy: Works great now Rooted Transformer prime rooted Evo 3D. it didn't work the first time I installed it. I just tried again and now it works great. I didn't do anything different so if you have problems try uninstalling and re installing, it worked for me. Now I love it. |
[2012-01-28] Martin: Greate idea but don't work Do not work on MBX MBOX 2.1 Android full HD media player. |
[2012-01-25] Carlos: Good job Works great between Asus transformer and HTC evo 3d |
[2012-01-19] W. Scott: Awesome app, does what it says Using this with a rooted transformer Prime and rooted Evo 4G. Works great even when the prime is tethered through the Evo wifi tether. Play/pause works on stock ICS video player but not on Mobo Player. |
[2012-01-16] Sleeme: Cool Just bought IT and works well. Nice |
[2011-12-28] Vlad: very laggy it seems to be very laggy between galaxy sII and Motorola Xoom, maybe with future update can be fixed... Otherwise very good app... |
[2011-12-08] John: Working great so far! Haven't been able to find anything as good as this! But if I may request that there be some adjustments to the controls, such as maybe being able to use 2 fingers to slide a page up / down, left / right |
[2011-11-04] ryan: Great support & updates, needs mouse pointer & better game support, but the best there is & getting better all the time. |
[2011-10-08] Eric: Very good Very good app .... |
