Use your phone as a webcam on your computer over WiFi or USB

Allows you to chat using "DroidCam Webcam" on your computer (Skype/Yahoo/MSN/etc..), and talk via "DroidCam Microphone*".

You must download and install a computer client to use the app (Windows & Linux versions available). Visit www.dev47apps.com on your computer to install the client and usage info.

Pro version, DroidCamX available: Various video formats and higher resolutions, bluetooth, access via your browser (surveillance/ip camera), connect via 3G, camera flash, auto focus, zoom and more. Available for Android 2.1+.

The connection will reset after ~10 min in the free version.

* Audio support is experimental. As of Android 2.3 audio is recorded in large chunks causing delays, thus not allowing DroidCam to stream and play-back smoothly.

Works on ICS 4.0.3 i777 Make sure USB Debugging is on and Samsung Kies is installed to get all the driver. Audio doesn't work on Win 7 64 bit, and thats ok I guess. Only Normal mode works, Medium and High quality does not work, Win app crashes. But, the best available in market, hopefully it improves :)

Samsung Galaxy SII ICS Great app. Absolutely works after a bit of a fiddle. However, normal quality is the only one that works. Medium and high do not work and cause the pc program to crash. The mic works great and there's minimal lag on video.

Works As Described on DroidX I put the app on my phone and then the companion client on my computer and video worked right off the bat. No problems other than audio, which is detailed in the app description.

Good Good app. Tested fine with Y! Messenger. But when using as webcam on Flash sites, it doesn't work, it crashes Flash. HTC Sensation.

Evan is right. This thing works on a subpar level, and is annoying to setup. If you don't know what you're doing you'll probably wanna break your phone after 30 minutes! Lmao Very ugly/sloppy interface also..... This is just one area most developers haven't been able to do well in...turning your Android into a webcam. Advanced users only I managed to get it set up fairly quickly, but would not be easy for the average person. Requires installation of an unsigned driver. Video works excellent, however, the audio for 2.3 is screwed as the author mentioned. I will re-rate when either of these issues are resolved. The audio is my main purpose. Resolve that, and I'll buy it.

ooVoo? I THINK this may work for me, but ooVoo doesn't seem to have an option to pick a Webcam and it doesn't just "see" my phone like the instructions said it would. I did get further with this app than with the other two I tried, so I'll keep it until I find out how to pick my phone with ooVoo; can anyone help?!
