Due to carrier limitations (AT&T in US is particularly bad), Android OS version, phone hardware, Country, and other factors - not all apps will show up every day. (The Android Market will report that the app cannot be found). This is a Android Market limitation, and not a problem with DOTD!

Enable 'Auto Update' for DOTD - this app is updated regularly (about every 2 weeks). It is recommended that you select auto-update to ensure everything works as expected.
DOTD MUST BE UPDATED - This app will not function properly if you are not updating. You will know when it is not working, as the app will show you that, and provide a link to download the update from the Android Market.
IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF THE APP INSTALLED, THIS WILL FIX 90% OF ALL ISSUES

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: We re-register the Notification when the phone is rebooted (in the background, after the phone has completed it's other boot tasks).
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and INTERNET: Sync data down and up (also used for Google Analytics)
WAKE_LOCK: Ensures the notifications are sent reliably
