This simple application allows you to change the screen orientation from any application.
Just click on the icon to change the screen orientation in accordance with the orientation of the phone.
Long tap on the icon resets display orientation to system default mode.

[2013-10-01] A Google User: I set it on Top Left or Bottom Left with maximum ... ... switcher size and completely trasparent. May be it will be good also for you. P. S. If you just could hide its icon from notification bar like in Display Brightness |
[2013-09-13] A Google User: Very good Super! |
[2013-09-12] A Google User: Fantastic App Works perfectly on my Galaxy S4. I can even play Temple Run in landscape mode, which is incredible :) Thanks to the developer for this awesome tool. |
[2013-09-01] A Google User: Works Does the job and prevents that the screen is rotated on every little move. I don't like that the app is shown in the notification bar and the notification can't be removed. It's unclear for me why it needs access to usb storage and to my phone identity + status. |

[2013-08-25] A Google User: Perfect. It's not often I find an app as great as this; it fulfills an important function and/or fixes an oversight in the OS, it does so unobtrusively and intuitively, and it does not push any extra crap on you in unseemly ways. One of my most-used and favorite apps! |
[2013-08-21] A Google User: Good but needs impoverishment I like this app, but instead of just an "exception" list how about also have option for an "inclusion" list. Most the time I want the phone to change on its own, only a few apps I need the option to flip so I'd be nice to just add those instead of excluding 98%. I'd pay for pro version if this option was added. |
[2013-08-18] A Google User: Tttghh Hhhg uhhy hhhg by a bit of of the new one more than the intended only for for the intended for a few weeks ago and then we we have to the the intended for a a lot of the intended for the intended recipient you are |
[2013-08-01] A Google User: OK, but some vv rough edges Mostly it just works. But to exclude applications that don't play well with a tweaked orientation, the interface is clunky, requiring a long re-read of all apps before you can select another one to add to the exclude list. Barcode scanners seem to lose their brains when reoriented, and the last time I added one to this app's exclude list, it still didn't work. I also see no way to submit issues like this directly to the developer -- is this app still being maintained? |
[2013-07-13] A Google User: doesn't workwork exclude doesn't work with launchers, like launcher8. |
[2013-07-01] A Google User: I needed this real. Bad for netflix. Thanks so much you guys. |
[2013-06-14] A Google User: Dowenload |
[2013-06-07] A Google User: Buggy It stops working at times and I have to delete and re-add every single app. Combined with the app list not being sorted, pain to use. |
[2013-06-02] A Google User: Not bad I would have given 5 stars if menu is listed when I click transparent button but I have to click 4 times every time |
[2013-05-25] A Google User: Wonderful App I have a Dell Streak, which has landscape as the default orientation. With this app it is very easy for me to set the default orientation to portrait. And the selective orientation for different applications also works very well. Only if you could list apps in alphabetical order or add an option to list as latest installed first. Also add save/restore option. If you can add these two, I will rate 5 stars, and also would like to support via donation. Maybe you can put the two options in donation version. |
[2013-04-03] A Google User: Finally something simple and functional I was surprised how had it is to find an app that switches orientation of the screen with one click of button. There is one thing that is confusing - it seems to switch the rotation from rounterclock wise to clockwise every other time. But given that all other applications are not even close to simplicity, I won't hold it against it this app. Thanks for make a simple and useful app! |
[2013-03-17] A Google User: Absolutely perfect Does exactly what it says on the can. I was able to finally force that one stubborn app to rotate the way I wanted it to, and it works amazingly. |
[2013-03-05] A Google User: Useless Does sweet FA - HD Desire. The icon appears in the selected position to allow orientation to be changed, but does nothing when clicked. |
[2013-02-09] A Google User: Finally can lock portrait For some reason Samsung made portrait the only orientation allowed when auto rotation is off. This lets me lock portrait mode just like every other device does out of the box. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: S2 Not suitable |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Does not work on RikoMagic MK802IIIS It doesn't work. Display always stays in landscape mode regardless of the settings chosen. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Only good for manual control. Any rotation app with no "forced auto" mode is mediocre at best. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Why do you need internet access and read my phone calls? Security problems. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Brilliant I change my mind. This app is super buggy. I've uninstall it ages ago.. |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: Buggy It the works just fine but it screws up some apps while it's running, specifically the camera app on my GS3 |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Excellent Best in its class |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: This is the best free orientation I used most of orientation changer/fixer but have to say that this is the best one, the fact of changing orientation in each app smoothly makes it a great ! |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Thanks! I didn't realize how much I needed to this until I got it. |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: Superb!! This app is cool and genius!! |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Huge usability boost Much better than the built-in orientation switcher in JellyBean. I only wish for one feature: an option to hardcode two orientations to quickly switch between (rather than sensing the orientation every time). |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Doesn't work with HTC evo 3D ICS |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: stopped working was ok until yesterday when it always orient to the reversed landscape mode (i.e. the samsung logo is at the top and camera at the bottom) |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Exactly what I wanted Super simple little app, and does exactly what you want it to. -Rotate device, tap icon = screen will rotate. -Hold icon = app wont affect rotation. Easy as that. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: The best rotation control Very useful app. Easy to set up. Nice icon control. |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: My Situation: Half of screen is unresponsive ruSo half -bottom half- of my ZTE N762 is unresponsive (I can increase the response chance by taking off the back and putting my hand on the battery). I figured by rotating I can get the unresponsive field into the responsive area -I would have to flip back & forth to use the other half of the keyboard. Your app came close, making everything, the top go 180 -Thank you, home is trouble- and the switcher helps avoid setting. Sorry I can't finish tis review its been 40mins. Tis is a SOS, I'll email u lukong15 |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: Essential for the Nexus This app is a must-have if you have a Galaxy Nexus, since the default landscape orientation requires right-handed users to hold the phone by the skinny side, making it feel like it will fall out of your hand - not to mention that's the part with the battery, so playing games will heat it up a lot! A few suggestions to improve this app: 1. Please list apps in alphabetical order instead of the semi-random order they appear in, and perhaps hide the things that are just internal stuff, not actual apps. 2. How about a default portrait/landscape orientation (rigtside-up/upside-down for portrait, clockwise/counterclockwise for landscape) option for apps that auto-switch the orientation, so I don't have to set manual overrides for every single app? 3. A setting to auto-set the orientation when returning to the home screen would be helpful, as well - currently I have to reset the orientation when I leave an app. |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Awesome Just one bug that in apps wid automatic screen rotation now you have to press the button iz there a aay to do it Please tell |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Thanks for new updates I was searching for old apk after v 2 now its fine manual click is working thanks a lot |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Back to fantastic! What happened? Temporary hiccough. Really glad that it's back to working brilliantly. Great app that does well what it says in the description. |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Don't update Wish I never updated. This update is the exact reason I should keep a backup of good apps so when they have horrid updates like this that they can go back to when it worked. This app is completely unresponsive on jelly bean 4.1.2, no matter how many times you hit the stupid new icon it doesn't work, but sometimes it magically activates and rotates your lockscreen. I wish I had the old version of this app that app was 5 stars. Please, anyone considering updating the app Don't. I and long clicking doesn't wkr |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: App Icon doesn't match New App icon in store doesn't match downloaded app launcher icon (which is pretty ugly by the way) |
[2012-11-04] A Google User: It didnot work for me , i am using xperia play, rom ics pureness n lupus kernel, thought it have nothing todo with rom n kernel btw. |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Simply the best I have tried many and after a long search I can say this is the best ever :-) |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Its ok A bit laggy on top of the fact that the rotation has to be done manually. |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: I Love It! I have needed this app from the day I got my first Android. The Android auto rotation function is a pain, and so is going into settings to switch orientation when you actually want to. This app changes all that. It puts you in control. Works great on my Motorola Electrify. |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: Awesome Even rotates upside down! Perfect for music dock speakers if your android has ports only on top though can you make the option for this to work automativally? Withthe sensor? |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: Simple and Brilliant! Thank you :-) |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: The best The best app of this kind I've tried. Overlay icon works in games too. Just set the transparency to nearly invisible. Perfect! No impact on battery. Congrats to the developer. |
[2012-10-24] A Google User: Works awesome full 360° rotation Easy to rotate anytime without any trace in notifications. |
[2012-10-23] A Google User: Love it. Why pay for ultimate rotation when this does the same thing but for free. So far so good cant complain. |
[2012-10-19] A Google User: Perfect! Very useful to keep current screen orientation. Able to set screen to all orientation. Including reversed-landscape, and reverse-portrait!! Yes, it should be part of the OS. Added: BUG Found; does't reload after screen locked or restart. Added again: The bug above seems to have been fixed. Tnx. :-) |
[2012-10-16] A Google User: Killed it Worked great and was the perfect solution on my nexus 7 until it started causing lag (every four seconds) and update 4.1.2 made it obsolete. Uninstalled. |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Perfect! Have searched something like this for some time to use with my PRS-T1. Usefull to change orientation with a click since the e-reader doesn't have a orientation sensor. |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Nice Nice app |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: Works on the Tf101! Have tried many, this seems to be the only one freeware that locks portrait orientation on Asus. Thank you! |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Works well...... Good job dev, 5 stars... :-) |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: work great this is the app I have been searching for so long. thankss |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Perfect for chacha |

[2012-09-22] A Google User: Cool I like |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: Why network permission? |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: Works perfect Easy to use, never had any issue with it. I could give 10 starts |
[2012-09-19] A Google User: Admob Why would you include Admob with this? |
[2012-09-19] A Google User: 5 stars all the way baby. Just great, still needs improvement regarding certain apps but double thumbs up for the easy to use and non abrasive orientation control no matter where you are plus its FREEEEEEE!! |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Admob!? Seriously Admob really took out the enjoyability of using the app. Bad choice for developer to cash in this way. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Shame app Now Contains Admob Oh dear developer just made app worst. Sometimes there are things that are just not commercially justifiable and this app is going that way. Please don't destroy app with admob spam. You should instead try to fix the power draining problem.Thank you. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Too bad, ruined by AdMob This app was really amazing, but now it requires a network connectien for advertisement. Looking for a new app... |
[2012-09-16] A Google User: Best Yes, this is the one I need . I have never come back to rate an app right when I try it like this one . Awesome I must say |
[2012-09-15] A Google User: Kellz Really really good just wanted de option to change the application I want not every thing but other than that real good. |
[2012-09-15] A Google User: GS3 - CONTROL FREAK Do you want complete control? …to include your screen orientation, even if Android doesn’t want to give it to you? This app puts YOU in the driver’s seat. It will allow for a sideways view of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean that is NOT available on the default system. {{Please, please, PLEASE include screen shots of this!!! I feel your download numbers will go through the roof}} Additionally, I have a case that allows for multiple standing positions. One is nearly upright, as most people usually use their phones this way, but if you turn this 180 degrees it’s like a slightly rear elevated track pad. This feature is really nice because it is very secure and you can easily glide your finger across the screen without fear of knocking your phone over. The problem.. ..Android didn’t seem to have imagined a time when I would want to have my phone be upside-down.. ..the solution.. ..this INCREDIBLE app!!! Last thing, I believe that the best things in life are free. I’ve NEVER paid for an app. Please consider touting and voluntarily supporting this app if you’ve found it half as amazing as I have. |
[2012-09-07] A Google User: on the right track this is a very nice app, it does what i need it to, and thats change the orientation of the home screen on my droid razr. the only thing that is causing my rating to be 3 stars instead of 5, is the overlay icon. it would be better if the icon was a widget button on my home screen or in the top status bar or both like every other app. |
[2012-09-04] A Google User: Best rotator ever Can't believe I had to wait this long to have this app. Thanks dev. |
[2012-09-02] A Google User: Works great Limited functionality compared to some others |
[2012-08-28] A Google User: Great app App works like its supposed to. Makes using my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 great. It keeps everyhing in landscape mode which is helpful when i am using the tablet in my oem samsung cover with the keyboard. |
[2012-08-27] A Google User: Simple and straightforward The icon is a little ugly but it does what it needs to very well. |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: Requires no second thoughts. The very best of its kind. Do not hesitate, get it. Does all i would ask of it, and is very compact.A huge extra is that this app is not an evaluation version, unlike "ultimate rotation control". Good job! |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: Waiting for this long time Works great on my Dell Streak...could be a lot better if we could set the orientation in the settings and do away with the overlay icon or maybe integrate it to the notification bar...but still a great app...works as advertised |
[2012-08-19] A Google User: Simple Simple |
[2012-08-17] A Google User: Does as it says, but thats it Im only trying to be fair and rating this app a 4/5 since this app DOES lock your screen in any orientation you want and DOES force apps to respect that orientation. However, the apps do not display right. Ex: I downloaded this app in order to force games to display in portrait mode on my tablet. I started Angry Birds and sure enough, it displayed in portrait mode (the game normally forces landscape)... but... I can only see the left half of the game! |
[2012-08-08] A Google User: Great app!!! Thanks! It also can force portrait mode lock on archos Archos with 2.4.81 has a bug - portrait mode can't be locked (!!!), only landscape or auto-rotation mode that turns pdf reading into suffering (those who read in bed or bus or just used to rotate a tablet will undestand me, it jumps to landscape every "wrong" move). I've tried about 12 apps but all of them are just change sys.setting - enabling/disabling the auto-rotation mode that can't overcome the bug. THIS GREAT APP really force the device to stay in sellected mode. In my case it PORTRAIT LOCK!!! THNX!! |
[2012-08-08] A Google User: Finally I have find you! Great app A MUST App for e-reading on archos 101 This is the only one that helped to lock portrait mode for reading PDF/djvu. Thanks a lot! |

[2012-08-04] A Google User: Thank God Have a problem with the left side of my touch so can hardly play any games but with this it allows me to rotate my screen any way. Solved my problem. |
[2012-07-27] A Google User: The best The best rotates just about any app. Unlike some time wasting so called rotators which you have to pay for. Dev Nice1 Thanks. |
[2012-07-25] A Google User: Not compatible with s3 Causes the settings drop down bar to lag on galaxy s3. Uninstalled . |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Not working well for HTC Vivid |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: WAA:L If I uninstall this will it sort my home screen out? I went on landscape mode on the home screen and now it's messed everything up on it.. I wouldnt recommend it even if I've only had it for 5 minutes... just don't. It needs to be an official part of the OS made by the android people |
[2012-07-06] A Google User: Amazing |
[2012-07-03] A Google User: Should be part of the OS! I would constantly find myself toggling the “Auto-rotate screen” setting just to swap orientation; now I just tap the corner, even if I'm running a full-screen app. Seems to override app-forced orientations—I have to rotate manually with some apps that can't cope, but it's great with other things like the Google Play screenshots that display fine in any orientation but try to force changes anyway. |
[2012-06-17] A Google User: Works velocity t103 Thank you! |
[2012-06-13] A Google User: Works Great with Spotify Because Spotify can't figure out Landscape, I installed this. Now I can use Spotify in my car dock! Thanks! |

[2012-06-08] A Google User: Aren't u guys awesom Great job, love it, these appa makes me love android day after another |
[2012-06-02] A Google User: BEST App for Police Scanner 5-0!!! Was frustrated I had to keep my tablet upright to use Police Scanner 5-0 as the power and speaker cord where in the way of my stand. So installing this nifty little program now lets me force rotate ANY program from its dedicated screen layout to the one I want and rest my tablet landscape mode on my stand with no interference from my cords! GREAT WORK!!! |
[2012-05-27] A Google User: Only one that ive tried And it works great |
[2012-05-24] A Google User: Sweet app for my Asus Slider Some apps just won't rotate on their own. This app forces them to. With the full onboard keyboard, it's a must have. Should be pre-installed but I'm super glad I found it anyway! Says what it does and does what it says. Refreshing! |
[2012-05-05] A Google User: Ok Would be better if it was in the notification bar rather than an overlay. I don't like that icon showing everywhere on my phone. |
[2012-04-23] A Google User: A Must-Have This app does what it does, and it does it brilliantly. In fact, they should strongly integrate this feature in future android releases. It's that good. Five stars. |
[2012-04-23] A Google User: BREAKS OTHER APPS! THIS APP BREAKS DEVS OWN DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS APP. IT ALSO BREAKS ANY APP THAT DIMS THE DISPLAY. BREAKS IT PERMANENTLY. YOU HAVE TO FULL WIPE AND REINSTALL YOUR ROM. DEV PLEASE FIX THIS. |
