ConnectBot (ssh-agent) (v. 1.7.1 (ssh) Разработано Roberto Tyley |
As part of the development of Agit I created this patch of ConnectBot which allows other android apps to use it as an ssh-agent. This means that Agit doesn't need to actually manage or even store SSH keys itself, which is pretty cool.
You only need to trust one app with your SSH keys - that's ConnectBot, which already has great infrastructure for managing public keys - and all other apps defer to it for signing the cryptographic-challenges required to initiate an SSH session.
The pull-request to get this functionality merged back into ConnectBot is here:
https://github.com/kruton/connectbot/pull/13
See the Agit SSH page for more details:

|
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Can not import priv key Seems to be a good app however an attempt to import a pre-existing priv key results in a dialog that seems to indicate it looks in /sdcard and then the app just sits there with no file picker or dialog to pick the priv key file. Thus, can not be used as one can not insert new keys from this app on some large collection of servers that already exist and have pubkeys on them. |

[2012-11-15] A Google User: Does not work with Asus Transformer The keyboard with the Asus transformer doesn't work at all, the number keys are all mapped to F1-9 rather than the somewhat more useful !-( / ). The escape key is also only accessible by a soft button. |

[2012-05-20] A Google User: ssh-agent works great Everything is great. My only note is that the instructions assume your phone has a trackball, which mine does not. The alternatives (touching screen) should be listed. |

[2012-02-25] A Google User: Like ConnectBot, but better Honestly the best added feature for me is to be able to use the TAB key on my Transformer Prime keyboard. If only I could also use CTRL (And ignore the shift/symbol-lock), it'd be just about perfect. Nevertheless the agent-forwarding is also a big plus. Lets hope these features get merged onto the trunk! |

[2011-06-23] A Google User: I was missing exactly this feature. Thanks a lot. Strangely enough, the Ctrl key of Hacker's Keyboard app doesn't work (but does in standard CB). |
