Combat Assistant (v. 2.5.1) Разработано Vision Software |
Combat Assistant, used for tracking initiative and status effects, intended for use with the Dungeons and Dragons rules set (4th Edition), although some users have noted its useful for previous editions and other role playing systems, e.g. Pathfinder.
Ever got confused by trying to keep track of status effects, hit points, healing surges, etc. in a game. Well, be confused no more with this versatile app for keeping track.
Useful for DMs who need to keep track of player defenses as well as hit points of their monsters. Will also automatically apply ongoing damage and check with you whether your creatures have made their saving throws. Monsters can also be pre-created and then are saved automatically to keep the flow of the game going without having to pause to add details of new creatures to the combat.
Useful for players to keep track of an entire party's details, including hit points, healing surges, temporary hit points and status effects.
Portraits can also be assigned to creatures, so you can take a photo of each player using your phone's built in camera and then quickly assign those photos to each creature.
Tutorial mode also available to show you the features of the application.
Tablet users please note that you must have an internet connection available the first time you run the app to obtain a license. Once you've run it once you can then use it offline until the next update.
Please note that none of the content in this application is created by or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast.
This version is identical to the free version, except that the paid version will save previously used information. With the free version, all infomation is lost every time you quit.

[2012-09-17] Justin: Pretty good The price is good and the program works. |
[2012-09-07] Michael: Fantastic App! I want on Kindle Fire! I love this app! It makes running a game so much easier with only minimal planning. The more planning the better it is. I only wish I could find it on the Kindle Fire. It's larger screen than a Razr would be 100x better. Please make it happen. |
[2012-09-05] Beau: Very nice! This makes battles go so much smoother. |
[2012-08-29] Christopher: Combat Asisstant Once u learn how to use the interface it is a very great tool to keep track of encounters for your dungeon and dragons campaigns. |
[2012-08-25] Chris: Great App It us very useful to keep track of initiative for the DM. Still need something for the players to look at though, but nothing this can do about that. Very good app. |
[2012-08-15] Living Forgotten Realms East Rift: Good and getting better. Needs negative value entry, add new fields, and drag and drop display. Other than that nice program and the 'Ready an action' and delay work excellently. Status is a bonus. I'm enjoying using this. It has some nice customization features, like adding a picture for your PCs. It is good enough that I'm willing to pay even more for increased functionality. The basic are pretty solid once u learn how to use it. I'd like to see preloaded conditions to choose from a drop down box. But worth the price if you game frequently. I have sent a list of feature requests but don't have space here to list them. Customer service was excellent too as I was contacted within a few hours with my requests. |
[2012-08-14] Chris: best I've used yet But still needs work. Speed is a must and also a space to list my monsters' moves and abilities will be the last thing I need before I can just leave the laptop and the books at home. |
[2012-08-13] Jname: Excellent! Just what I needed! I can import my sprites and everything! |
[2012-08-06] Shayn: Best yet This is the best initiative tracker I have found! It just keeps getting better. |
[2012-07-30] Mark: Fantastic on 4e Makes it so much easier for me to keep track of combat, especially trackings effects, |
[2012-07-28] Kurt: Speed Does almost everything you can want.... Except speed! It would be nice if there was a block for role, but speed is a need. |
[2012-07-25] Benjamin: Ridiculously Awesome Fantastic app. Makes tracking so many numbers and effects effortless. |
[2012-07-14] Xanathin: Great app! Amazingly useful for my 4e game. Really helped speed combat along and allowed me to easily track hp of all my players and monsters. |
[2012-07-10] Nicholas: Changed my game Absolutely awesome app that has made my job as DM easier than ever. Be cool if it had a round counter. |
[2012-07-09] kspn: Love the app The only issues i have are because i am trying to use the app to run 2 different games. Some kind of switching capability so that i can select which game would be awesome or create a new 'unlinked' game with different characters monsters etc 8-) |
[2012-06-29] NateBall: FANTASTIC tool for initiative and status tracking BEST initiative and status tracker on Android, hands down. This is SO close to a 5 star app, but could use a couple ergonomic-tweaks. (using Transformer Prime) Couple things on my wish list for this app though: 1) Buttons could be spaced a little better, esp for tablets 2) Status effects don't seem to be savable for import/export 3) This may be too much to ask, but a wifi network link to other devices or even a networked PC so that players could also use their tablets to access the initiative list and apply status effects, so that all the tapping was not on the DMs shoulders. Of course such value-added awesomeness would have to be properly compensated. But of course, by then you'd also have 4x paid users in each group! ;) |
[2012-06-23] Snake: Perfect I am very impressed with this app. It does exactly as described and the developer is active in maintaining it. This is also the only RPG Assistant I've seen that can be used with multiple games based on the customizable interface - not just D&D. Keep up the good work. |
[2012-06-15] Shaun: Essential DM tool Thanks |
[2012-06-09] Shaun: Works great. |
[2012-06-09] Oswallt: Very Useful It took a little getting used to, but it has really helped speed up combat. Especially once I entered all the conditions from powers for the players. The reminder for saving throws was a big help. I wish it had a tablet layout, though. |
[2012-06-09] Matt: Sweet app for D&D It takes a little bit of set-up, but is really useful especially for remembering status effects that have been applied. |
[2012-06-03] Furet: Very usefull My group loves this app. It speed up combat round, keeps effect duration with a simple click.. No more confusion if an effect is ended or not. Must buy for D20 players. |
[2012-05-11] Skeet: Pretty Good Extended rest should reset action points to 1 and remove any temporary hit points. Option for short rest to remove temporary hit points would be nice. |
[2012-05-08] Bert: Nice controller app for a beginning DM I started using this recently on my Asus TF300 tablet (running ICS), and it works beautifully! Importing data with CSV files is a snap, although direct communication with the DDI compendium would be much nicer. Still, all the main pieces are there and combat situations go much more quickly and smoothly with this app! |
[2012-05-06] sweetie: Great tool Well done. |
[2012-04-27] jwiv: Excellent App Been using this for awhile now and it's proven to really help speed up and smooth out combat tracking for my group. I do wish status effects and the like were a bit easier to input and track, but overall the initiative and HP tracking alone are worth it. |
[2012-04-12] Joel: Samsung Galaxy SII The app came highly recommended and it managed to meet all my expectations. Nice work :-) |
[2012-04-10] Eric: Love it! I used to use the initiative tracking cards they handed out for encounters, and my notebook to keep track of combat. This app works so better |
[2012-04-04] Patrick: Works Well with 3.5 The only problem I have found with it, thus far, if you horde all of your monsters and PCs. It's hard to find them. Could use a search bar. |
[2012-04-04] Paradox: Great for new DMs Me and my friends are new to D&D and I've found this ap to be of great help. More organization options would be great (encounter groups & parties) |
[2012-03-31] Alex: Great App Love this. Saves me tons of time. Helps encounters run way smoother |
[2012-03-06] the 3/22/2012 Totally worth the bread, an idea to make better is an optional time counter with the round counter to quickly know how long a battle is |
[2012-02-29] Katrina: Fantastic |
[2012-02-26] Al: Excellent with D&D 4e DM'd last night and used it with 16 monsters and 5 PC's - and it was awesome for managing ongoing effects, enhancements to defenses ... just a few clicks and i could move on to the next monster's attack.. rolling initiative for 21 creatures was a click.. and done.. very much worth the $. loved that it remembered my monsters for later encounters ... for those with the free version - it saves you a lot of typing. Used on Asus E-Traveler. Only glitch.. i had a player wanting to be last in initiative rotation, and deferred his action until last guy.. when i activated him in the last spot, it put him at the top of the rotation instead of last.. but that's a small thing..it works out. |
[2012-02-25] Alexis: Very good for organizing combat! I purchased this APP even though I play Pathfinder; hope there is an APP like this one day for Pathfinder. Sony S tablet |
[2012-02-14] Amanda: Amazing Makes my job as a newbie dm far less intimidating! I love this app. |
[2012-02-13] Zack: Negative mods Cannot make perception or saves negative please fix.Otherwise excellent app! |
[2012-02-09] Mechphisto: Extremely useful! I searched and searched for an easy to use yet versatile initiative tracker, and while it's not perfect (waa!) it's certainly the best! |
[2012-02-09] Toast, Sirtoast: Great software Has made my game play much smoother. Can't imagine using anything but this app, very strong dev support. |
[2012-01-25] Zach: Hells ya! Hells ya it is |
[2012-01-25] Lawrence: Awesome app! Thanks so much for this app! Takes a lot of hassle out of keeping track of all this is going on! |
[2012-01-20] Matt: PWNs!!!! This app is great!!!! It makes preparing for a module fun and the game play is so much more stream lined from it!!! It works great on my Razr.... Gingerbread.... not sure if it works on ICS, but I hope so... |
[2012-01-13] Michael: Awsome Pretty good! |
[2012-01-12] Roll4Crit: Perfect for dms! Great for large groups! Me and my group took too long trying to figure out initiative but with this app, we always know who's turn it is! |
[2012-01-12] Casey: Love it I love this app. When I run a game I hate not having this handy. Well worth the price and developer is fantastic. |
[2012-01-06] Peter: Good program |
[2012-01-04] Miles Dalton: Excellent program Best I have found. |
[2012-01-04] SMKSensei: Love it! We play 0e and 1e games and it's still highly useful! |
[2012-01-04] Dunlap: Awesome Works great after this update on both my phone & tablet. This is going to make combat so much easier on me. |
[2012-01-03] Mike: Absolutely Amazingi / Suggestions going forward I love it! My suggestions going forward are as follows: Include a way to allow a player to "Ready an action", which is like Delay, but for "Readied Actions" they usually happen during another player/monster's turn and will place the player BEFORE the current person/monster's turn. Allow different sorting for saved monsters (i.e. Alphabetical, by CR, by Input Date, by Modified Date) This brings me to the next suggestion: allow for uploading monsters or compendiums of monsters. This way it isn't necessarily something YOU have to do in order to include all Monsters from the Bestiary and Bestiary II and other Paizo publications. This would also mean allowing CRs to be shown. And this is getting long, so this is the last of it: allow experience totaling. Once monsters can be uploaded CR and all, allow for the end of a battle to show how much experience to give the group. -- Thanks so much for this app. I honestly tried about 8 others and was about to give up when I finally managed to find this one hidden in the back corners of the internet (why it was one of the last to easily find, IDK, it blows all the others out of the water). THANKS!! |
[2012-01-03] Emil: Superb Superb Excellence program, especially after the recent update. Can now have solo mobsters devour my players :-) |
[2012-01-02] Josh: Makes life as a DM easier Fantastic app!! Works great on HP Touchpad tablet and makes the DMs job easier. |
[2011-12-19] Lisa: The BEST $0.99 I ever spent! I used to always forget about ongoing dmg and effects, but no more! Thanks so much! |
[2011-11-13] Mark: Simple, yet well done. Lots of work to set things up, but once there, this app offers lots of time savers for a GM. |
[2011-11-11] Chris: So far i like it. |
[2011-11-06] Lee: Excellent app I've used pretty much all of the combat management apps on the market. This one is far and away the best. |
[2011-11-03] Calion: Almost perfect This is the ultimate D&D combat tracker. It does almost everything you'd want it to (though a die roller would be nice). |
[2011-11-02] Terry: Excellent! 5 stars if had powers' effects preloaded. |
[2011-11-01] Matt: Can't beat the features for this price Unbelievably great combat tracker for DD4E. Even if you don't GM grab this to track your own character. You may find you are forgetting somethings you can even do until you can let this thing do some of the work for you. |
[2011-09-29] Jaytee: Excellent D&D app! I couldn't take switching between this and kmonster on the tablet(sucky PDN), so I put CA on my phone and now all is right, lol. |
[2011-09-27] ademczuk: Replaced my notes Havent gone back to pen and paper. Well done |
[2011-09-26] Michelle: Taali The best one out there for only a buck. |
[2011-09-24] Theodor: Great! It makes encounters a lot easier to manage as a DM. With continued patching and support it just gets smoother. |
[2011-09-22] Turbine2k5: Love it! As my group's leader, helps me keep track of HP and also monster HP. Add in manual reordering and it's a 20 for players too. |
[2011-08-09] Bryon: The "assign initiative" button screws up player figures and won't let you reset them. Manually set initiatives and it's a great app :) |
[2011-08-05] Peter: Good Idea, Needs More. Was hoping to find something to replace my Note Cards with but this isn't it. I like the ease of inputting monsters and characters, though a clone button would be nice. If I could move saved monsters into Encounter Groups that would be amazing. A flip system or rotating system to indicate who's turn it is would also be helpful (I DM drunk). And being able to add a Status to a character (Dazed, Weakened, Ongoing) would be great. |
[2011-08-04] Amundi: This app is well made. I like being able to set all of my monsters up and save them so i can add and removed for encunters with ease |
