Color Detector в Android Market

Color Detector (v. 1.9)

This app is designed to recognize colors using your mobile phone.

Takes a photo and the color on the center is shown on RGB, HSV and HTML notation. Also looks for the nearest color name and speaks it (needs the Speech Synthesis API to speak Colors). It has a list of more than 1600 color names.

Useful for color blind people, designers, etc.

Due to popular demand, now includes a white balance option!
Can also share recognized colors by Facebook, Twitter, Email, etc.

great interface, needs improvement i'm checking out apps that help people who are color blind and testing them for my dad. Agree with user below: doesn't adjust for lighting. I took three pictures of a pink sheet and the app told me violet every time. And yellow came back as brown. I'm wondering if the developer has any tips for us.

Awesome for those with difficulty seeing color! Only gripe is that using the flash skews the color mix. Black becomes purple, ping becomes violet. Any chance you could add a flash calibration or ability to turn off the flash entirely?

Very good app, does what it says on the box This is very handy for colorblind people like myself. Like with all similar apps, you get best results with good lighting conditions (daylight). I find it great that the size of the app is small, cudos to the developer for that. Not every little app needs to be based on cordova. On my Vodafone 845 (Huaway) I don't get any color balance options even though the built-in camera app has a few options. A good idea might be to be able to calibrate by asking the user to print out a picture with reference colors on their computer's printer and then to point the camera to it. Then the app could compute the current bias due to lighting conditions on all three channels using a reflective surface (it wouldn't work on a computer monitor as it is itself a lightsource). Of course that would also be dependent on the color fidelity of the printer, paper and ink. Oh well...

Everything is turkish rose The app creates a rose reflection when taking a picture. Then recognizes turkish rose as colour.

Fantastic app!! Eyes detect colour relative to surrounding areas. May improve detection if you could calibrate by pointing it at something white. Also only as good as your phones camera & don't think it has calibration for different makes. That said it's great for what it is!

Brilliant little app Works very well on my galaxy S2, colour match is really quite good in good light conditions. The html code for the colour is also accurate. Nice app recommended.
