[2013-08-02] A Google User: Why do I have to log in? Why do you need my email? |
[2013-07-28] A Google User: Joe Can't get FTP to connect to the server. And it gives such a generic error message that I'm not sure what I need to change. I have ip instead of host names so I think that could be the problem. |
[2013-06-28] A Google User: life changing apps |
[2013-06-21] A Google User: No foreign language support Would be good if app supported viewing character encodings other than English. |
[2013-06-11] A Google User: Feature Lacking Needs more features such as the sandbox and any gdrive, sandbox integration that may exist on the codeanywhere servers. Needs ability to move files between the servers and copy and paste is non existent. No syntax colours either. Maybe ok for a quick edit (as long as your connecting via ftp to your servers) but other than that, not the greatest and requires a decent upgrade - saying that I would prefer they do more to the online service before concentrating on the mobile app. |
[2013-05-07] A Google User: Feels unfinished can't create files or folders. |
[2013-03-24] A Google User: If you want/need to code on your droid get it If you have to manage anything more complex than a blogger or wordpress site on the go then codeanywhere is the tool you need. Edit files, upload via ftp, actively manage existing projects, and start and complete new ones with this amazing editor. Using codeanywhere on my netbook and smartphone has completely freed me from the necessity of needing to access my workstation. My only request is that devs add line numbers and syntax colors to the mobile version as gaining those would take codeanywhere for android from being a great app to being a perfect app. Still 5/5 because it is the best app of it's kind available for android. |
[2013-03-10] A Google User: Not working Doesn't work. "Error loading file", "error creating file", "error creating folder" and so on... Too bad. |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Not even native This is a web app. You are giving your server credentials to an anonymous web host. Not impressed. I should be able to use an editor without signup. |
[2013-01-14] A Google User: FTP doesn't work right The text editor part works fine, but trying to upload or create a file or folder by ftp does not work. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Update needed. This app is great but there's no syntax highlighting or line numbering. I have read previous comments of others stressing these issues yet the developer (after 2 years) has still not updated these. To be honest that is pathetic. Lucky this app is free and I can happily use another one. Would be 5 stars if the developers weren't so lazy. |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Love it! By far one of the best coding apps I've used so far. This app does not quite compare to the website itself but it is very helpful to be able to edit things on the go! I do small coding projects for a friends website, and boy are there a lot to do sometimes. It's perfect to be able to do it all on my phone. Keep up the good work! |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: Needs a UI overhaul like the tablet version |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: Bad No highlight, no Dropbox, who need this? |
[2012-10-16] A Google User: Great app for all my codes that i need I very like this app userfriendly & visual it is an eye candy...unfortunatly no secure site for the basic users. |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: Nonfunctional on Nexus 7 App won't configure on Nexus 7 tablet. |
[2012-09-04] A Google User: -1 star. Out of all FTP website editors, this is the best one I've ever seen! It's not a "Pay to access this feature" app! It's amazing! And an edit: I can't add a file. |
[2012-08-25] A Google User: Sparten and basic This app is a good start but has a lot of room for improvement. Things that are missing are: Having an option to save the login password Have syntax formating Add the dropbox and github files also Make the layout a bit nicer |
[2012-07-03] A Google User: wtf Used to lovvveee this app but now everytime i try to add new server i get an error opperation failed when attempting a save. All devices. Created new accounts, nothing seems to fix it |
[2012-03-13] A Google User: No highlighting Syntax highlighting is a basic thing to have. Add it, and you'll get 5 stars from me. |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Good but lagging behind the Codeanywhere website This app does work well , but I would really like to see context highlighting. Code Anywhere itself (the full website version) is fantastic. I can't recommend it highly enough. |
[2012-02-11] A Google User: Good But without syntax highlighting and line numbering, it's just a notepad with FTP. Monospace would be a better font choice too. |
[2012-02-09] A Google User: Difficulty Extremely difficult to scroll through code without the app reading interpreting it as you wanted to highlight code. Makes it nearly impossible to do anything. |
[2012-01-13] A Google User: Can't get past my server login. Keeps asking for my server password, refreshes then repeats the cycle. Used to work great-what happened??? |
[2012-01-12] A Google User: Useless Error while getting ftp servers list |
[2012-01-11] A Google User: Typos, unable to log in FTP client unusable; GUI full of bad spelling that conveys an unprofessional impression. |
[2011-12-28] A Google User: Can't log in! I followed all the directions, can log in via the web but not through the Android app. Login always fails! Frustrating. |
[2011-12-28] A Google User: Pointless I'm sure it'd be a great app if you could actually log in with it. Posted about this in their forum and never got a response. Move along, nothing to see here. |
[2011-12-28] A Google User: Cool but Really need code highlighting ! |
[2011-11-23] A Google User: utter rubbish! free to download and install but then you have to register an account on their servers and pay to join and all your ftp traffic is routed through them |
[2011-11-23] Stephen: utter rubbish! free to download and install but then you have to register an account on their servers and pay to join and all your ftp traffic is routed through them |

[2011-10-07] A Google User: Mediocre. FTP transfer is slow, mainly because it is routed through their servers. No syntax highlighting. |
[2011-10-07] Michael: Mediocre. FTP transfer is slow, mainly because it is routed through their servers. No syntax highlighting. |

[2011-09-13] Kade: Near perfect. Ive built my site's mobile version only from my phone, laptop currently not an option so this makes quite a substitute. Thank you! |
[2011-08-29] A Google User: So far the best... But... Code highlighting, undos, autocomplete and other features in the web app version would help me go pro. |

[2011-06-26] A Google User: Unfortunately, since it doesn't see dotfiles, it's useless to me. Also, what's the deal with signing up? Is it storing my logins? If so, that's bad. |

[2011-06-13] A Google User: Excellent App This app is very useful if you do not have access to your computer, but you need to do some changes on your web server. Code editor works well with syntax highlighting, and it is even possible to do the changes via smartphone in very short time. I would recommend it to any web developer, it can save you day! |
