Not working in 4.2 Well, apparently Google changed some things to enable multi-user storage. So now any dalvik-app is unable to browse folders mounted by other apps, like this one.

Broken for 4.2 Mounts only show up as an empty folder on android 4.2. It would also be nice if it had some way to auto mount and unmount when a specific wifi is connected. Also it doesn't seem to support DNS lookups, only IP address, which is kind of annoying for a network the uses dhcp.

Good Utility Upgraded to 4.2 recently and finally needed to get a file off a share. Doesn't seem to support 4.2's file structure. I don't know why that would be too much of a problem because shares are mounted inside of the mnt folder. Hopefully dev will fix this soon!

Perfect Works well without hitches on my device. Successfully streamed a movie from my lappy lol. I'm worried at last update being 2011. Possible abandonware. Competitors may catch up soon.

Junk Says its mounted and the directory is empty. Rooted SU Kernel supports cifs busybox installed. Dont waste your time if your on 4.2

cant get 2 work tried on rooted galaxy tab 2. said no device found when tried to mount. tried many variations, smb is accessable by all devices ive tried... file explorers that support smb work on my tab but this one isnt. i agree with the scan feature, it would make it more user friendly n close the gap in data entry errors in connecting to shares

Lifesaver. Finally gave up on UPNP and just use this now with mx player software decoding. Intended to solve just that problem but this works so well I use it for everything now. Still works. Just needs a way to reconnect shares automagically when reconnected to the same wifi network.

great app! it's so easy to mount folders on my servers so that i can access files on the servers as if they are locally stored. the only thing i want the dev to implement with this app is an auto-run & auto-mount function on boot because i use this app on my device in the living room which is connected to TV. anyway, thanks for this great app!!

Great work.... works like a charm When it does not work, its because of the missing cifs.ko file in your kernel. Wish there was a way to pre-load a specific share at boot up.

Works brilliantly except.... If I could get it as a plugin for Tasker I would completely forget about the disaster known as Mount Manager. Having to manually enable all my mounts after a reboot with CIFSManager kinda blows but once enabled it works every time my WiFi connects. And it doesn't wake lock my Nexus like Mount Manager does......so a few more features would be nice and I'd be willing to pay for a plugin for Tasked. But its a great app though. Sometimes basic apps are the best !

XPERIA X10i v2.3.3 [rooted] Installed cifs.ko found in xda developers and Bobs your aunty. Seems to provide a pretty robust connection to my QNAP NAS, but has hung the X10i a couple of times when not dismounted after use. With Samba Filesharing and MX Player Pro (16bit color), you've got the whole package on an XPERIA X10i. Overclock the XPERIA X10i at 1.15GHz and BSPlayer becomes the star.

Great app! IT DOES SUPPORT UTF8!! This app works fantastically. Best CIFS app on Google Play. It actually supports UTF8 natively. Just put the following line in "options" filed when add the share: iocharset=utf8 Maybe developer can set this as an default option?

UTF8 Not UTF-8 compatible. I guess this is more of an android issue. The app manages mounts just fine after getting the syntax right. Which is difficult. The app is not robust at all.

As Decribed, but small room for improvment. CifsManager does what the description says, but "conveniently" wouldn't be the best word in there... Ensure the Path is typed correctely (there's no browse network path) An option to remount already configured paths on reboot, and being able to mount further than 1 directory deep would be worthy of a donation (a beer) Keep up the good work, looking forward to the updates :)

Works great except one little issue that may not be apps fault. I think the system is killing it after a while. When I try to browse to the mounted directory the file browser freeze, even from adb shell as root. I dont have any task killers installed. Tried copying the app to /system/apps, didnt make a difference. Not sure how to tell android not to kill a certain app.

Working perfectly on ICS I'm using this on a tablet running ICS to mount shares from my Windows 7 computer. Nothing much to say, it does what it claims and I've never had any trouble with it.

Great You need to know what you are doing, but then it's great. Use it all the time. Auto-load cifs never worked for me, load it separately on startup now.

Requires other to have read permissions For some reason this app seems to require that the server have read permissions for 'other', even though 'user' read permissions are only needed for other apps such as andsmb. This is annoying if you can't do that do to security concerns.
