Choice Dialer Plus is a faster voice dialer with voice confirmations, more launch triggers and more commands.  It will work using a Bluetooth headset on most (all?) phones running Android 2.2 or later and it does not require a data connection except for features transcribing speech to text.

Play music, schedule events, look up contacts, place calls, toggle settings & more.

Dictate texts, emails, and Facebook status updates.
Send texts, by voice, using Google Voice.

If your phone's version of Android supports Bluetooth hands-free voice dialing, it will work with this app.

NOTE:  Speech recognition is US English only.  Sorry, but I have no access to other language models.

TIPS:

1.  When confirming a command, say "That is correct" rather than "Yes", as the shorter word is often lost in the noise.
2.  For best recognition, enter the full names for your contacts, even "Mom" and "Dad".
3.  Press "Menu" as the app listens for Help and Settings panels.  Not all features are enabled by default.
4.  Speak confidently and naturally.  Speaking-word-by-word-often-hurts-more-than-it-helps.

BLUETOOTH
1. You need Android 2.2 or later for hands-free dialing over Bluetooth
2. Some phone users report that they need to remove their phone's battery for 5 full minutes before the Bluetooth Voice Dialing works.

AWESOME!!! FINALLY found an app that will let me make a call through my bluetooth from Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G. I drive for a living, and don't have time to pull over just to make calls. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I was almost to the point of having to buy a different phone. It's illegal and dangerous to make a call holding your phone, so you would think it would be STANDARD in ALL phone to voice dial through a bluetooth !! But that would be logical, which doesn't exist anymore.

Choice Dialer Rocks! This app is more than just a dialer! It actually does a little of what Siri and Iris are supposed to do as far as opening up programs & sending texts etc. I have Iris & she takes too long to do the same stuff that choice dialer does very quickly! (and CD does it more accurately!)

Just what I wanted I wanted a simple voice command app that didn't require internet access. This app works great on my galaxy exhibit. Haven't used it enough to give 5 stars yet.

Does not work with ICS I bought this app for my Sensation and it worked terrificly! I loved it. The only voice dialer app I could find that supported BT *and* voice confirmation. When I bumped my phone's version to Ice Cream Sandwich it failed to even load. I wrote the developer and he stated that my experience was expected and that he has no intention of supporting anything newer than Gingerbread, at least for now. Terribly disappointing. Update: Cyberon Voice Commander works similarly to Choice Dialer and it works with ICS. Bluetooth works and it provides voice confirmation before dialing. I don't like the voice of CVC as well but at least the developers have figured out how to make their product work with ICS instead of dropping their paying customers like a hot potato as Choice Dialer did to me.

Please make Choice Dialer Plus compatible with ICS Choice Dialer Plus was my application of choice for hands-free voice dialing -- until I got my new phone with Android 4.0. Now it won't run at all. Another user reports that the developer has no intention of making it compatible with Android 4.0. What a shame. Hope the report is not correct, but until it runs on ICS it gets one star from me.

Every day use for 6 mos on Nexus S UPDATE: You don't know what you got til its gone. As the developer clearly states on the store this doesn't work with ICS. I updated to ICS before knowing this. Now having tried every other voice dialer I can find I can tell you I really miss Choice Dialer. My standard is I want to dial without looking at the screen and with confidence that I'm calling the right person. This means simple start up button + avatar voice confirmation of call target. Choice Dialer worked better in practice than anything else. Developer is great and I'll be back when the ICS version is up. ORIGINAL POST: I used the built in voice dialer on Treo and Bberry for 5 years. Switched to Android 6 months ago. A solid voice dialer with audio confirmation is a must have for me. This is the best I have found on Android. I have >600 contacts and it does a great job. Quirky infrequently so giving it 4 stars. Works with handset, speakerphone, or connected to Jawbone Icon bluetooth set. Long push on Icon will kick off voicedialer with handset out of reach. I use Widget locker to put CD+ on unlock screen for fast access.

Stress-free dialing I was pretty concerned when I first used my new phone (HTC Sensation 4G) and realized that the built-in Android dialer didn't ask for confirmation before dialing its best guess from my contact list. After a couple of embarrassing mis-dials, I installed Choice Dialer+. It works great! I also installed the Svox voice module with the "Grace" female voice. This combination is perfect for me - very satisfied.

A perfect dialer and more! Incredibly fast and intuitive, with lots of customizable functionality in dialing, music and app calls. This app is great because it doesn't need a data connection to perform its functions. It was the perfect solution for my new Samsung Skyrocket. It works for Android! For those Android users having trouble with voice dial working through a bluetooth headset this app works! I tried Vlingo and Skyvi, but they would not use the headset UNTIL the call was connected thus defeating the purpose of voice dialing. This app fixed it on my galaxy s2. I'm running Gingerbread 2.3.6 with root and entrophy kernel. The ROM is unNamed 2.2.1. My bluetooth is a blueparrot noise canceling and I have had no problems with it recognizing my commands.

Works for me Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket (SGH-i727) on AT&T - phone did not support voice dial over Bluetooth with either the built in function or with Vlingo. It does with this; I've even used it to dictate an email over Bluetooth. Very happy with it.. Bluetooth hardware used with so far includes an Alpine radio and the Jawbone ERA earpiece.
