[2013-07-27] A Google User: Good content, bad UI Update 2013-07-28 Version 3.8.1 fixes the crash bug. ----- The content is really good. Many excellent lessons. Even the free complementary course is very nice. There are lots of useful functions that are really helpful as well. The user interface is a bit messy though and still has lots of bugs, like sometimes you see duplicate lesson entries and sometimes the audio doesn't start playing and there is no error message. |

[2013-06-28] A Google User: Totally awesome...except for one thing I LOVE ChinesePod!!! It is making my life in China so much better. The only reason I didn't give the app 5 stars is because when I download several lessons to my phone at home, so that I can listen to them when I'm out & about, they don't show up in my Self Study area, unless I also bookmark them. Sometimes even then they don't show up...even though I have my settings to show downloaded & bookmarked lessons. It's a minor hiccup, but would be nice if it was fixed. But ChinesePod is still totally awesome! |

[2013-05-28] A Google User: Great lessons, improving app Chinesepod is great on content, and the app is critical to studying on the go; unfortunately, their apps are always buggy, so expect crashes frequently or audio lessons to stop playing as your phone does complex things like get emails. |

[2013-05-27] A Google User: Still no landscape mode on Nexus 7 The app works mostly, but on my Nexus 7 tablet it still doesn't do landscape mode. Also, it would be really good if it could download the files for an entire course at a time, since in Asia when traveling very often there is no wifi access, so I have to study offline quite a bit. This should be pretty easy to program, since the app (or more precisely, the server) already knows which lessons constitute a course. Also, the upload of the avatar to the server fails consistently with "try again later". I think this is a bug. |

[2013-01-21] A Google User: Android - Gingerbread version Disappointing that the app which will download for older phones with Gingerbread operating system is buggy. Newer phones with ICS will get a better app (tried on a friends Samsung 3). After paying for a subscription, I find I cant sync my lessons with what I have chosen on the web site. I believe it has been confirmed elsewhere that Chinese Pod will not be fixing the Gingerbread app version. As Gingerbread is still about 50% of the market, thats unacceptable. Disclosing this info at purchase time would have shown some respect for the customer. Much respect for the Chinese Pod resources, but not much for the business model that fails to put resources in good ongoing support and app updates that cover all their apps. |

[2012-12-01] A Google User: Pretty good. Please add iOS features and get rid of some bugs. Great app. I use ChinesePod more often now w/the N7. Please make the dialog and audio play buttons on the same screen so you don't have to switch screens all the time. For both Android and iOS. This would be huge. The 3 sec ff/rwd buttons are missing and the replay option too. Please add! Bugs. Some audio for expansion items don't play (network err) but on a browser, does. Scrolling while audio plays kills audio. Keep up the great work! |

[2012-09-27] A Google User: Functional, but needs a lot of work While I'm a big fan of ChinesePod's curriculum, methods, website, etc, this app is not on par with the rest of CP's offering. Using this software to listen to lessons on my Galaxy S3, the app crashes about 75% of the time. I should not have to try 4 times to successfully perform an action once with any quality app. This poor software is making me consider ending my subscription to CP. For the love of Dashan, please fix this app. |

I wish Chinese pod would pay this app some attention, this is the only way I use Chinese pod. |
