Calendar Colors (v. 2.0.0) Разработано slintes |
A little app for changing the colors of your calendars. No root needed!
SINCE CHANGING THE CALENDAR COLORS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL FUNCTIONALITY OF ANDROID AND MIGHT NOT WORK ON ALL DEVICES, PLEASE TEST IT FIRST WITH THE TEST VERSION OF THIS APP!
For changing a calendar color, just touch the calendar and choose a new color.
When you leave the app, the colors might change back to their original value at some time.
This is done by Android when it synchronizes the calendars with Google (or other calendar providers).
In order to reapply your new colors manually, touch the "Restore all" button.
In order to let the app monitor the calendar colors and reapply your values automatically, check the "Restore colors automatically" options.
This will start a background service, you will notice it by the little calendar icon in the notification area.
This icon is necessary, without it Android would kill the app after some time, because it is doing nothing most of the time.
ATTENTION: with Android 3.x (Honeycomb) and 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Android is changing the colors back much faster than before.
Unfortunately this makes the automatic restore unstable (it might be killed by Android after some time, the icon disappears) and the battery consumption will be higher, at least as long as the display is on! At the moment I have no idea how to prevent this.
Update: this is not an issue with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean anymore. Even better: you can disable the notification in the Android settings: Apps -> Installed -> Calendar Colors -> uncheck "Show Notifications".
NOTE: Some calendar apps might not show your colors correctly or at all, please test it with another app before reporting (e.g. "Touch Calendar" shows the colors correctly). I have no influence on such apps!
If you have any problems please contact me at support@slintes-IT.com before giving a bad rating/comment on the market,
I will do my best to help you! Please provide as many details as possible in your mail, like your device, the Android version, the error message, the calendar app you use...
Thanks!

[2012-01-17] A Google User: Perfect Doesn't really help changing Google Calendar colors (it will, but the color doesn't stick long), but those can be changed in the Google Calendar, so not a big deal. However, having the ability to change the colors of your Exchange or any ActiveSync calendar accounts works great. They won't get overwritten because there is no color to sync with. |
