Necessary! Why Android native calculator has square root key but NOT percentage baffles me no end (Moto Droid Pro specifically). Uninstalled native calculator and installed this one. Useful, does just what it needs to do. Not the most attractive or sleekest UI I've ever seen, but that's really minor considering functionality vs. dunderheaded "no percent key" calculator that came with phone!
