Would be good of you didn't have to wake lock the phone too, GPS without screen on. I use with Bluetooth GPS on my tablet and hour Google maps running on it even though there isn't GPS in the tablet |

[2012-11-06] A Google User: almost perfect - doesnt keep running when home it the app is simple and quick.. its let down that it doesnt put itself in background and add a notification icon to alert you its still running wish developer with add that like the other bluetooth apps here which do keep running and have exit in menu and icon in notification my phone is a entry level Droid 2.2 but since all other apps behave I dont think its a phone issue however it does have the best tranmission over BT and seems faster.. works to tablet and have gotten it to work to PC (win7) using the follow. win 7 BT is a little flaky with virtual com ports as you seem to have to remove any made and re-add at the correct time before it connects even though its pair this is what you do if want it to work with google earth (I think you may need google earth pro or plus though not sure as they have gps support but this method doesnt use it though as inserts a temp plugin) 1) google and find the feee GOOPS tray service 2) install and customise the settings to set to com 4 and untick autoconnect and autoscan 3) manually start it 4) now go to my computer and find bluetooth section 5) run the app on phone + enable BT 6) on PC install Virt comport |
