[2012-05-13] A Google User: Amazing little tool! To the folks who say it doesn't work, the problem is that this application doesn't actually scan things. The author should have pointed out that it requires a helper application. Googles will work but this will require network and a lot of bandwith.. The "barcoding scanner" application from the ZXing group, though it's own interface is suboptimal, will work perfectly! One last thing. I would personally avoid most scanning applications as most seem to want to read (and even write) personal contract info! |

[2012-03-07] A Google User: Nothing scanned. Doesn't work. Activates camera but there's no button on screen to "take picture now" or "scan now". Sits there staring at the bar code until you press Back, then displays a message saying "Nothing scanned." (Motorola Droid Razr) Update: Okay, well, it scanned the barcode on a soda can (UPCA). But I need to scan barcodes representing Ethernet MAC addresses. Not actually sure what format they're in. Boosting my review from 1 star to 3, since the app actually did exhibit functional behavior. |

[2012-02-06] A Google User: What happened ?? Whatever you did, you completely ruined it. This little app has gone from excellent, about 4 months back, to nothing. Tried different code39 barcodes, however I located my phone, no matter how long I waited, couldn't read even one barcode :-( Even cleansed camera. SE Arc 2.3.4 |
