Forget about "kill all" buttons and all the hassle. AMM let's you customize the out-of-memory manager settings on your phone so you don't have to do it yourself with task killers. This works on both rooted and unrooted phones. So just start it up and forget about it.

Great for gingerbread on Droid1 I am running CM7.1 on my D1 and as you know, its usually pretty rough with the low built in memory. I have v6 supercharger but was still getting a lot of issues trying to multitask. This app is great for seeing what apps are using memory and more importantly, their OOM values. (Why is facebook 5??) Anyways, I prefer the min free values in "mild" to my current settings on v6 supercharger. Now I can run pandora and navigation at the same time!

Unusable on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" All my APPs on my SD card were grayed out and unusable. Took forever to uninstall and had to hard boot device twice before it finally uninstalled. DO NOT RECOMMEND for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7"

MUST HAVE for rooted Androids 1.3+ Gingerbread (and Froyo to a lesser extent) has a very aggressive background process killer to manage memory and speed up your device. This brings your multitaskability down to almost iPhone levels, ie, non-existant. By modifying your OOM groupings, which AMM here does, you can decide when and where your memory is freed by the system itself. AAM doesn't stay active at all, rather it simply changes internal settings. Some other apps like JRUMMY16's toolboxes can do this as well, but not as intuitively.
