Attendance (v. 2.03) Разработано Android for Academics |
A great way to take attendance. Put your student list in a Google Spreadsheet, and this app takes care of the rest. There is no need to enter total absences into a spreadsheet at the end of the semester because all absences/tardies are calculated in your google spreadsheet each day you take attendance.

[2013-06-16] A Google User: Good You can also use it to monitor daily attendance of your employees to check against your standard bundy clock for verification if your people are honest |

[2013-04-30] A Google User: Troubles on Galaxy S4 I love this little app and have used it for over a year on my HTC EVO 4G, however after upgrading to the Samsung Galaxy S4 yesterday, I can't get it to work! I try to log into my Google Drive and it says it can't find any spreadsheet files (it must not looking very hard!). Am I doing something wrong or is it incompatible with my phone? It is a huge bummer to not be able to continue using this attendance program for the final quarter of the year. 5 stars if it would work. |

[2013-04-15] A Google User: Spreadsheet error!! I would like this app but it cant find the spreadsheet on google drive... i have tried on the nexus 7 and the google phone. |
[2013-04-01] A Google User: Spredsheet error The spreadsheet shows an 'X' mark on both 'in' and 'out' cells in the participant overview export, when a participant is marked present. Would be great if there was a way to see class participation of a particular student in a calendar format. when I export to Google drive, it makes a new file with a numerical addition instead of updating (replacing) the existing file. That would be better, so that I could keep track of a months attendance in a particular file. Or is there a way to sync the attendance to a file on Google docs? Great app by the way. I hope it doesn't have a time out or a limit to number of students or classes as other apps have. |
[2013-03-16] A Google User: Mixed I love the GUI and the idea of singing with Google docs. Unfortunately the output is unusable without recording presents. Editing past entries could be easier. Any chance of opening the source? I would love to help add to this app since I would love to use it as a teacher! |
[2013-02-24] A Google User: Offline mode Unfortunately not all the people has unlimited access to Internet, so an option to use the app offline would be really helpful. I installed the app, and tried to use it for a while, but the frequent unavailability of Internet access at the school I was working at, made me uninstall it. Recommendable, but improvable. |

[2013-02-02] A Google User: Bad Crashes on my galaxy mini |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Bare bones It sets up relatively easily and works without any glitches--if you have data activated (either wifi or network) but it needs to be more customizable. For instance, you only have 3 choices: late, present, absent. My school differentiates b/w excused and unexcused. Furthermore, I need to allow more than three columns for a student's name either for email address, user name, or student i.d. (which I need for reporting attendance). Until it allows for more control, I'll be shopping around. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Not bad I understand the need to keep the app simple, but I would like it if there was an single optional field that could be inserted into the UI. In my case, it would be whether homework was completed. This wouldn't clutter the display up on even a mobile phone, and if it was placed in the spreadsheet (say in cell A1 on Google docs), shouldnt be hard to setup. It would make the app more versatile overall. As a simple attendance recorder, this is simple and easy to use. I like it. |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: Has potential... This works really well on Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but unfortunately on Jelly Bean (Nexus 7 and Nexus 4) this does not find any spreadsheets on Google Drive. A shame as i really want to use the app |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: Nexus 7 issue Google docs does not recognize files w/ Nexus 7!!! |

[2013-01-09] A Google User: Great |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Couldn't find spreadsheet App couldn't find a spreadsheet on Google Drive. Noticed others had this problem with the Nexus 7. I really like the idea of this application, and it says it is compatible with the Nexus 7, but this seems to be a big problem for the developers. Uninstalling but will check on it from time to time to see if it has been updated and fixed. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Not for Nexus 7 Nexus 7 doesn't find any files on googledocs. Please, fix the bug and let us know. Meanwhile, we have to try something different. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Won't work on Nexus 7 Can't find the spreadsheets on my nexus, no problem finding them on other devices. |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: Can't Find My Spreadsheet I tried to use the app, as it seemed to be exactly what I wanted. It kept insisting that I had no spreadsheets in my Google account. I even created a brand new spreadsheet, following the form in the demo on the website exactly, and placed it in the root of my Google Drive, and the app still couldn't find it. So, at least for me, the thing don't work. |

[2012-10-09] A Google User: Best app for attendance The best attendance app |
[2012-09-19] A Google User: Useful App:-) This app works perfectly until I activated my google 2step verification, then this app is malfunction. I can't sync my spreadsheet. Please fix this problem. Thanks |
[2012-08-31] A Google User: No ads. The app is easy enough to use, however when the ads appeared so did the app from my library. There is no option to remove the ads either. Poor planning as this was the best app I had found for the purpose.. |
[2012-08-27] A Google User: Good enough The setup was very easy, and I was excited to use my new streamlined attendance "sheet" that was paper-free. Unfortunately, the app wouldn't work in my classroom. The program says, "Retrieving Students" for several minutes, then it crashes, or it tells me it is unable to connect to my spreadsheet. UPDATE: The problem was that I needed to authenticate my WiFi account. Now that I have done that, the app works fine. I would like it better if I could include attendance notes -- who did and did not have their books, who participated in class, and so forth. But this is good for what it does. Very easy. |
[2012-08-22] A Google User: Great app in general, but need offline mode This is a great app in general, but I really do need an offline option here, I hate that I have to connect to my google docs account in order to use it |
[2012-07-05] A Google User: Almost perfect. It's simple, which is good, and reliable. The only downside is that once the record is submitted, it cannot be reversed. |
[2012-06-29] A Google User: It's Okay I love that it works with Google Docs. I'm looking for an app that will track 1/2 day absences too (elementary teacher). Being able to note the time a child leaves or returns mid-day would be great! |
[2012-02-23] A Google User: good app! This one would be more useful if it had a text entry box so I can enter notes besides their names. This would open doors dramatically. |
[2012-02-19] A Google User: Too bad Unstalling |
[2012-01-19] A Google User: Doesn't work! Utterly sucks! Repeatedly forced closed and finally locked my phone. Try something else. |
[2012-01-12] A Google User: Needs more features Great integration into google docs. But when I rotate my phone, I lose all progress marking attendance. Needs an option to freeze orientation, or save state when rotating, very frustrating as of now. |
[2011-10-27] A Google User: I like the new update. The new look is great!! :) Thank you for the "Excused" option and the other options too. |
[2011-09-26] A Google User: M Didnt help at all... |
[2011-08-20] A Google User: Very useful, but in need of tweaks Good points: It's FREE, convenient, and it works. I can easily take role and know that an accurate tally of absences is in my Google cloud. Negative: It only logs absences and tardies. If neither of these conditions are met, no new column is added (even if the instructor presses submit). I'd rather have a column added for each session even if no one is late or absent (with the date added to the heading instead of cluttering up the cells). This would turn the table into a real attendance sheet. |

[2011-04-23] A Google User: 'Absence' Would be more accurate! A great little app, but it would be more accurate to call it 'Absence' rater than Attendance as that is all it records when you press Submit? It does a great job of populating a Google Spreadsheet on Documents but it only records absence or late arrival - nothing to indicate that a student actually attended on a particular day. So if the developers read these reviews a fantastic upgrade would be a column that indicates attendance = a complete set of details for each class by day. |
