APN Backup & Restore в Android Market

APN Backup & Restore (v. 1.91)

A simple App to backup and restore APNs (Settings to connect to the internet with the mobile connection). The backup is stored in the /sdcard/APNBackupRestore folder.

NOTE: Starting with Android 4.0/ICS, 3rd Party apps don't have access to write APN settings, hence this app no longer works for restoring APN backups as a normal app. You can convert it to a System app using Titanium Backup on a rooted phone and use. Instructions:
- Open Titanium Backup
- Go to backup/restore tab
- Find APN Backup & Restore on the list
- Long press on the app when you find it
- Select Convert to system app
- Open APN Backup & Restore
- Click menu and disable ICS check

COMMON SENSE This is a great app if you need to send/receive pic messages for a custom rom that was made for a different carrier. (Flashing verizon rom on alltel in my case.) Just download apn zip file for your carrier and put the zip in this apps folder then delete other apns and restore the one u want. It does work for rooted phones and ics with instructions for ics above. Please study these things before putting negative comments.

ICS google instruction to make it work on ICS. Wonderful. Root phone only. Any file explorer with root access will do. Easier than Ti-backup. Simply download the apk from the author site and place it in System/App folder. Change permission to the same as all other under system/app. U might need to reboot. I use ES explorer.

Working on ICS Just tried and i've managed to make it work on ICS. This is what i've done: 1.Install apn backup and restore 2.Open titanium backup 3.Go to backup/restore tab 4.Find apn backup and restore on the list 5.Long press on the app when you find it 6.Convert to system app 7.Open apn b&r 8.Click menu and disable ICS check 9.Backup your APN 10.delete your apn 11.Succesfully restore your apn 12.Enjoy

Saved me twice Saves me from having to reset my phone especially since my carrier MetroPCS doesn't give u access to ur apn settings! This way install an app that causes loss of 4g I no longer have to do a reset. So thank you! Its a sure fire can't live without app!

The developer has a right to make some money from their app. At least they weren't push notifications (this would have been unforgivable). Oh well, the adverts have gone again, so everyone should be happy now (and grateful).
