This app monitors the GSM/CDMA cellular network connection; displays a map of approximate cellular antenna locations and their RF signal strength; and can log the data to a text or KML file.

*** Does not work on Verizon *** 3G & CDMA Support is limited by Android, not by the application *** CDMA requires Eclair ***

Works best with 2G GSM. 3G/CDMA support is very limited.

Please understand what this tool does and does not do before you rate it. If you are not interested in the esoteric details of how the cellular network works, please do not download this app, it will frustrate you and be a waste of your time. Please check website for details.

I have reports that Verizon now blocks locations. Other providers may do same. Bummer. If your provider blocks, please be considerate and don't downrate the app. Not my fault.

Yes it is a battery hog - it needs to be.

Froyo problems? Tested with HTC Desire 2.2, Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab. I do know that it's failing on some devices through. New release coming soon.

Not impressed I have used this app to help bring a case to AT&T about lousy cell service in the area. The tower that my cell is connected to is not shown at all on the map. It keeps pointing to a not existent cell tower 2 miles away. I went and checked and nothing there. GPS is right on. Maybe its just my area??!!

Be great if it was for 3G & cmda Yep, doesn't work for 3G/cdma phones. :-( Read, it is stated in the description. Limited for Galaxy phones. Kinda sad considering the popularity of all the Galaxy phones. Will check again in a few months for update to fix this.

Fascinating! Seems to work well in the UK with 2G signals (ASDA/Vodafone) on my Nexus 4. I haven't tested with 3G. As another reviewer said, the location dots on the map are very small – probably this is an issue with high-res displays. This isn't really a problem with towers to which the phone is currently linked, but the others (yellow dots) are hard to spot. Chasing down the local antenna towers could become a new pastime – like geocaching, only fractionally more useful. If the map could show the networks available from each antenna that would be a handy addition.

Walker's aid The most practical use for this app is when you're getting a weak signal and need to know which way to walk to make it work. Only works well on 2G only setting, this is an Android limitation. Is there a better app for this? I haven't seen one yet.

Very helpful This app seems to work very well with T-Mobile. I've used it for over a year. This is one of the first apps I install on a phone. I really like being able to tell where the towers are that I'm hitting, can make a big difference, even if you just know what side of your building to go to.

DOES NOT WORK WITH 4G LTE TECHNOLOGY This used to be one of my most useful tool apps. But, now it's absolutely useless to me since AT&T upgraded the networks to 4G LTE, because the 4G LTE towers and signals do not register on this app. Tried contacting the developer about it, but it didn't do a bit of good.

Excellent! I love this app! It was of great help when i needed to figure out where to set up my external antenna (and what direction to point it in). My only problem is that the "dots" on the map are tiny, to the point that I sometimes can not see the yellow ones at all. Also, I have too zoom very very close to read the numbers written inside some dots. Perhaps it has something to do with the high screen resolution on my Galaxy Nexus? Nevertheless, I'd pay for this app if it wasn't free. Thank you!

Hopelessly inaccurate Great concept, but in my location information is totally inaccurate. And if it can't do 3g accurately why switch to 2g just to get your antenna info? 4g is on the way, so switching to 2g is a pain. Nice idea, poor execution. Maybe works better for other users.
