[2012-11-09] Darren: Great app Correction: It does sync contacts. I've used it today for the first time and it populated my contact fields with the contacts on my phone. This app works great you just need to be patient with it because it's using the WIFI to transfer a lot of data, but it does work well. FYI to sync your contacts you have to go to the contact field under the pc icon on the top left corner and click the sync button on the upper right hand corner. It's that easy. Overall I give it a five star. |

[2012-11-01] sylvie: As close as it gets I own both an iPod Touch and an Android phone. I have to admit this is the first time in 3 yrs I sync my phone with my PC on account of not being able to find an all-in-one app for syncing. This app is as close as you get to iTunes (out of the ones I've tried). The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it isn't very user friendly and it lacks in aesthetics. I personally consider looks as being a bonus, but it is going to take me months to teach my mother how to use it. Great for anyone who's PC proficient or those not afraid of breaking something, not so good for people that are barely PC literate. |

Did not try to sync contacts or calendar, as I need to sync for a four years period. Hope to find an option to sync notes with Outlook. Syncs files swiftly. Very convenient as there is no need for a driver. So one can sync without the need of KIES. |

[2012-10-23] Nina: Horrible!!! ruined all my pictures I downloaded my pics from my external SD card into my PC and it ruined all of the pictures that I had in my phone. It cut out parts of the picture and shrunk the image so tiny that I could barely see it and it renamed the files!! it also deleted a lot of them. I have to contact the help team to see if there is anyway I can get my pictures back. Ha Good luck with that one! DO NOT USE THIS, IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR PICTURES!! |

However when you sync your contacts, it creats useless entries in Outlook and duplicate entries in the phone. Apart from this annoyance I would have rated it 5 starss but because it has taken about an hour to sort bot Outlook & the phone, it only gets a 3 star. |

[2012-10-04] ;p: vanilla ? didnt mind the fact that it needed a pc install, but the pc side sync folders are not configurable at all and the folders are cryptically named in windows explorer. liked it for the ease of connection, which others have issues with. uninstalling after this review as I didnt find it useful in transfers. |

[2012-09-27] Doc: Poor English Upon getting the contacts from my phone into ASM. The application on the computer says: "Contacts is downloaded successfully." The correct way to say this is: "Contacts are downloaded successfully." Other than this, this program is great for backing up your phone data such as contacts, messages, bookmarks, files and calender. My poor android only has OS-2.1. Will be updating phone here in the months to come to a new one and a different manufacturer. |

[2012-09-23] Ken: Halts every time with this same message I can only rate this with one star. I downloaded and installed Android Sync Manager WiFi, and the WiFi connection is working perfectly. When I first open it, it appears to work well with Windows 7 and my Galaxy Nexus, and it does transfer photos and some other files. But unfortunately it halts every time when it comes to Outlook. It gives me the message "Cannot open Outlook database. Synchronization aborted." I am not using Outlook, but it halts every time with this same message even though "outlook" is unchecked under "Contacts." Do you have to use Outlook in order to use Android Sync Manager WiFi? Is there no way to by-pass Outlook? |

The only drawback is that the screen can't go blank during the process of syncing or transferring files. The screen must be on / the phone can't be asleep. It's a great way to make sure I have all of my photos downloaded to my computer. My contacts are synced to my gmail already, so that's my main use. |

[2012-09-15] w: stopped working for no reason (was 5 stars) This was great to synch my Outlook calendar to Android phone. Worked flawlessly for the summer and then all of a sudden one day trying to synch my calendar it kept saying "can't open the outlook database"--but I hadn't changed ANYTHING anywhere so how could it just stop working?! I then updated to the most recent Android verstion and reinstalled the PC software just to make sure nothing got corrupted somehow. Still same error. Sure am glad I hadn't thown any money their way yet as emailed developer full details beyond what I just explained here of what I had tried on my own and I kid you not, this is the response: We are sorry. "Cannot open Outlook database" is a complicated issue between the sync database and your Outlook database. Please confirm you have downloaded the latest version of software and agent as below. If you still have the problem, we can not solve it. Sorry for the inconvenience. |

[2012-08-23] Steven: Only one complaint I've only tested this with file syncing. It seems to work well. My one complaint is that there's no way to fully automate the process from the Android device. You still have to remember to start the application. It would be nice if it could run in the background and sync automaticaly when it detects a wifi connection and the PC. |

Files is ok, but needs to be possible to select a number of folders to copy music was painful because you have to add individual files to playlists, rather than being able to move whole folders... like all my albums by Rihanna etc. |

[2012-07-03] Chris: Solid Tool, But Has Issues With Newer Phones Solid sync tool & one of the best I have tested. That said, development has slowed down a lot recently & are not as responsive. Setup may require patience but if you want to sync Contacts & Calendar data without using Google this probably does the trick. This is a good tool that could be great if fleshed out a bit more. Now to the issues. Some newer devices label internal memory as SDCARD & added storage as SDCARD-EXT. ASM syncs to SDCARD, so you cannot use ASM to copy data to that big card you put in. Seen on DROID 4, RAZR & RAZR MAXX, but am sure it is a problem on other devices. The calendar sometimes experiences issues syncing. You will be prompted when there is a problem, but all you can do is stop syncing or skip the event. Seems an issue with recurring events & not one time events. Contact sync uses first name as opposed to full name, business or last, first. Means if you do business with John Smith at Super Company you better remember which John it is because you won't easily find the last name or company when looking in contacts. Outlook FILE AS field would be best to synch as it can be whatever you want. File sync only copies - ASM never syncs phone changes with PC. |

I switched over to MyPhoneExplorer and it works smooth a silk. But it took me 2 days of work to fix the problems this app caused on my Samsung Infuse. |

[2012-05-16] Tina Reuter: Sexy APP but WHERE R MY FILES? Installed the App on Atrix I and the PC softwr on Win 7 Pro x64...both installations went smooth and function perfectly. The PC software has a sexy GUI. BEYOND THOSE PROS, App Sync Mngr is Hell: 1. This App doesn't allow access to Atrix internal memory--big limitation! 2. The Sftwr is NOT intuitive...and help instructions are sketchy and inadequate. Have fun figuring out this App. 3. It was not easy discovering where the App placed files on PC (User - App Data - Roaming - Mobile Action). On Atrix, I still haven't found the files transferred from PC. THIS APP LOOKS GREAT...but it sucks to use. Uninstalling |
