Agit is a Git client for Android devices, allowing you to checkout the entire history of any Git repository (not just GitHub!) while on the move, review changes and store for full offline access.

• Clone remote Git repositories onto your phone!
• Just like regular Git, the full history is stored for offline access.
• Animated Diffs - Watch diffs smoothly transition from Before to After - and back again. I'm using 'smooth' figuratively here. It's still pretty cool.
• Supports git, http, https protocols. SSH for private repos is also available - watch http://youtu.be/6YXR-ZhZ1Qk for setup instructions or see https://github.com/rtyley/agit/wiki/SSH for further details
• Pull-to-refresh fetching
• Currently this is a 'read-only' client. You can clone & fetch, but not commit and push. I haven't yet had time to build all the user interface around that - but I reckon implementing pinch-gesture-branch-merge would be fun.
• Periodic sync enabled on Android 2.2 and later - latest commits fetched quarter-hourly.
• Cloning substantial projects like Mongo or JQuery will take a few minutes to perform - fortunately subsequent fetches will be much faster.
• Due to limitations in Java/JGit (the underlying library used by Agit for Git support) the following features are unfortunately unsupported: submodules, symbolic links.

Push! Will rank 5 stars once app is able to push

Works really well I can create bare repositories to view the changes from my phone.

we need push push push ;)

Perfect for viewing history. Agit does exactly what it states. View diffs and history of a Git project easily and intuitively. I only wish you could also view source code.

Works great Does what it says, nice interface...and best of all it works. Great app!

great for code review away from the desk This is pure awesome. I can review changes from the bus, the bathroom, the park, the lunch break, keep my head in the code at all times if I please. Regarding other reviews: easier importing of github repos would be nice; I don't care much for implementing the push feature (until I get a bluetooth keyboard, my smartphone is not my development environment). Tough little app, nice animated diffs, might be addictive.

Slick - I just wish it could push changes Simple UI, everything works exactly how you'd expect. I have the notion of using git as a sort of self-hosted dropbox, but I need to be able to push to the remote repo which this app doesn't yet support. I'll happily give it the 5th star when that feature is added :)

Good app for checking my repos Would be amazing if it automatically could list all my GitHub repository and watched repos
