A screen ruler. It can set the origin to the phone edge or the screen edge. It also supports sliding scale for length that is several times longer than the phone length. Supports both phones and tablets. It has self-calibration feature. The more people using it, the more accurate the scale will be.
And the best of all, absolutely free, there is no ads to crowd the already busy screen space.
Note: this app has no camera related feature. Advanced Ruler Pro has camera rulers.

[2013-10-02] A Google User: Good App Good app to measure size of small objects. Among other apps this works cool. |
[2013-08-07] A Google User: This is the stupidest app ever. I hate it. I didn't work from the get go. All it shows is a copper to silver screen. FTA |
[2013-08-07] A Google User: Does not work Says my device is already in your data base, No need to calibrate. But i Can't get it to do anything except change back ground colors |
[2013-08-04] A Google User: Absolute garbage The only think that show up is a blank bar and it does nothing. |
[2013-08-04] A Google User: Really nifty little app! This is one of those little apps that's really useful. Excellent accuracy and very easy to use. This version is limited to measuring just small things, up to the size of your phone's screen (there is a "slide" method for longer measures, but it is too difficult to use). My only suggestion: add a white or very light colored background option, because the "steel" and "copper" are hard to read when screen brightness is set low. |
[2013-08-02] A Google User: Does work app Just installed this app. And just as quickly removed it. There were no real instruction as how to set it up, or how to use. |
[2013-07-26] A Google User: Does nothing I have a galaxy s3. I only have the gray bar. I guess it doesn't work for every phone. |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Nothing Blank bar no way to actually do anything or measure anything, just a blank metal bar |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: Doesn't work on a Samsung GS4 TSIA. No measurements, no sliders, just a blank metal bar. |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: Still works great, no issues on my Verizon Gnex. |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: Force closes on Xperia z-fixed. Force closes on Xperia z Fixed indeed |

[2013-04-15] A Google User: I used this at a job came in handy!!! I have used this a bunch of times to measure metal parts, camera lens filters, various other metal / plastic items ~ Love This app! Brilliant app - THANKS |
[2013-02-20] A Google User: Precise Take 3 seconds to calibrate this app to an inch on your ruler then it's perfect for whenever you need it. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Ok, but some bugs This app hasn't seen an HTC Evo 3D before. Lining up with bottom edge of phone not working. All else OK. |
[2012-10-10] A Google User: Screenshots are incorrect - doesn't display ruler The display doesn't actually have a ruler, it's just a slider you move around and it tells you what the distance is. The screenshots show an actual ruler along the edge as well as the slider. |
[2012-09-27] A Google User: Handy For those times I need a small ruler, this is great. Like at home depot when I just need to check something. |
[2012-09-26] A Google User: Hawk Hard to understand |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: GREAT app to measure small things. I don't write many reviews but, this little app is great to have if you need a small ruler any time. It takes a small amount of effort to get it setup but once you do it works great on my cheap ZTE from straight talk. I must admit I am now a fan boy of this little app and i can say i will use it often.Cant go wrong on the free version IMHO, I really don't need the paid version but I am going but it because I am sure they did a mile of work to get this app out to us. Thanks for reading, j1969n |
